Hey DiecastKrazy, thanks for the heads up, for those looking this is good info, but I want to share my own take on these cars ifI may. I have to say (and did post it when they were first released) that this series was so disappointing to me when it hit the shelves. I am not surprised they are blowing out at BL.

These were $4 or $5 at retail when they hit, so there was the opportunity to produce a nice looking piece. But in RC2 tradition, why do that? The really short changed the collectors and NHRA as a whole with the overall quality!

All cars Mostly plastic, Funny Cars had pinned bodies, and all cars had UGLY plastic tires and a uninspired, generic cardboard blister. And all cars were not tampoed but decals in large sheets (wraps really) and they were awful in their application. I had to go through dozens of stores (WM) looking at maybe a hundred cars of Greg Andersen trying to find one with the decals applied straight....never did find a really good one, finally settled with just OK!

But as I said, what a dis service to the NHRA, with an opportunity to place their collectibles at the retail level, possibly catching the imagination of a whole new audience, and Instead RC2 gave them blobs of plastic posing as a car.

What blows my mind is how easy it could have been done "right". RC2 knows how, look at their 1:24 Authentic NHRA series. Even better, they own Johnny Lightning, look at what JL did in the Legend's series back before the RC2 purchase. From Hot Wheels 100%, Action 1:64 to Johnny Lightning, drag cars have been done correctly. And at this price point, these could have been done as well. But Instead we got .98 cent cars with a $4 price tag.

OK, I'll stop. But can you tell I am still upset these two years later? Being a die-cast racing replica collector, I had such high hopes for this line. But life goes on...
