What the correct process of paitning a LL NASCAR Hard Body? The MHRA race is this Sunday and i have my P-Cup and G-Jet Bodys painted to match so why can i do the same with my LL T-Chassis?

Do i still use Scotch Clear tape to cover the windows, or paint the windows with a Sharpie since the windows are already colored?

Thanks

since the windows are allready painted, either mask them or repaint after you paint the car. which ever works best for you

Best masking I've ever used was simple white glue. Paint it on over the windows and let it dry. It seals the edges better than anything else, and when done it peals off easily. There are a number of liquid masking products that use the same idea but Elmers is much cheaper.

I use bare metal foil for masking. Apply it over the area you want to mask. trim accordingly, burnish the edges, then shoot your color. Gives a good clean line between colors. You may get a little glue residue but some hot water and QTips will take care of that with some elbow grease. :) rr

I make versions of the Lifelike NASCAR bodies with clear windows and mounts for Patriots/Storms and T-jets in resin, check them out here:
