Check out our website and let us know what you think.

We are looking to see how many people in our area or around New England have 1/4 scale cars already and would be interested in running when the track is done.

we will also be running 10th scale cars.

Pittston, Me......Man, your up there (north) a ways. Not far from Canada right? How much snow do u have? :(

The track looks really nice! Have u ran any Q-scale cars on it yet? Ohio is nice. If you ever get a chance to race @ Freddie's do it. Its BIG, BANKED and FAST! :woohoo:....It's only about 35 min. from the PA line.

Actually we are central Maine we are towards the bottom half of the state I am only About an hr and a half from the Mass Border. I'm along ways from Canada
Depending on what part of Canada. I'm 210 miles from the top of Maine. Only 100 from the Maine mass Nh border

Yup we tried the 1/4 scales we have on it. Defiantly going to need some fence before we try again. :)lol

Thats funny you mentioned the wal-mart race, I actually raced at that track in 2002,,the Mainiac 500 was the race, Jim Krysiac(sorry on the spelling Jim) was the club president up there,I think he was also a qsac official at the time, great track lots of fun and surprisingly lots of spectators, some of the 106 racepark guys came up to race,I drove there from Augusta, made a long weekend out of it,I ended up winning the race!!thats about as far north as you can get!!

Any one local is more then welcome to email us and come down and check out the track.

We are finding more and more drivers are closer then we thought, also we have found we have some one local that builds 1/4 scale cars. It looks like once the track is done there is a very bright future for 1/4 scale racing in the state of maine.

If it ever stops raining my New wcm sprint car (new to me) just arrived and i can't wait to feel it out around the track.

Sounds like the track is headed in the right direction. Who's the local car builder?

I really like that Steve Kinser Quaker State car. I built two of those and I know that body and wing were built by me. I sold one to a guy in Michigan and one to guy in Tenesse. May I ask who did you buy that car from? I have one more of that decal set and I am getting ready to build another. Hope to come race sprints up there soon.

Yup this car was just purchased from a guy in tennesse forgot his name.

I'll have to get a new wing built by you one of these days this one is starting to crack.

Cool body though nice job

Bring it up and let us know what you think of the track.

Not sure how many sprints will be around but they are more then welcome to come and run.

We are planning on opening for competition by the end of May.
The weather has a lot to do with it at this point.
We are at the mercy of the power company as well!
There will be an announcement on the web site and on our forum.
If you want to be updated periodically on our progress sign up on the forum and request to get on our e-mail list and we will send you our newsletter.
We are looking forward to a good year!
Thanks

Jeff,
The pleasure was all ours.
Talk about lucky!
For us to show up unannounced and find and meet the people that were there was terrific.
I truly appreciate the time you, Bob and all of the rest of the guys took to discuss this great hobby with us.
I'm sure after traveling such a great distance you would have much preferred to be driving than talking.
We went there with the idea we might be able to look over a fence and see what all the hype about Boulder City Speedway was all about. We got a lot more than that!
Thanks again.
Dan and Jean

Just a brief update,
We have the perimeter fence installed and new AMBrc timing/scoring system is here.
Power being installed today so testing and racing may be a week or so later than our projected June 6th start date but certainly the end is in sight now!

I've run both nitro and electric 10th scale on the track and both will be a good fit to the track.

even the bolink legends tested well and ran pretty fast and had a good run time with the stock required bolink pinion and spur gear.

Update:
Mother nature did it to us again.
rain rain and more rain.
One power pole managed to get installed before they buried the truck!
They will be back sometime in the coming week to finish the install.
driver stand is being a pain in the rear as well.
Thanks to the folks that stopped by Saturday to check the place out.
If half of you come out to race we will be very busy here for sure.
Thanks.
Dan

Breif update:
Still only one power pole installed!
As if the economy isn't bad enough we have to get swamped with rain!
Most of the construction has been done with the exception of the concession/scoring building but with a few good days of no rain we should be in better shape for racing.
