That really SUCKS ! ! ! I hope the seller refunds some or all your $$. I just got two of the new Mustang 2-packs in the mail today with both Green Machines. Thankfully they were in boxes and packaged well. Take care.

why would someone mail a box in a envelope?! U could always send him a smelly doggy treat in a box. ..good luck. Id swap boxes boxes with another one.

I had a similar experience lately, check the pics in the die cast collecting forum. Sorry about your misfortune of getting a lamebrain seller. Padded envelopes oughta be banned!

Yeah, that does suck. It is my belief that some sellers will package already damaged items poorly so they can then blame the P.O. But a bubble mailer for that item is unacceptable. I like NYSWLhunter's used Milk Bone idea.

Any person who ships a carded diecast in a bubble mailer is an idiot.

This has happened to me far too many times, so I know how you feel. Usually I tell them to take it back for a full refund because I do not want a damaged card. :p

Cheep ebay sellers suck most likely charged U $8.00 or more and shipped it for $2.00.

You could file with Paypal , they always side with the buyer I'm told . The seller should be whacked for shipping like that ! I also hate it when people ship fragile items in envelopes ...

That just downright sucks. And a good GM too boot. Whenever I go to buy a high dollar anything on ePay I ask if will ship in a box, gotten TH's in a manilla envelope once, need less to say they ended up trashed.
What I would do if they stick it too you is just switch packages with a regular set.

thanks for the warm wishes guys, ya it sucks, waiting for a reply from the guy still.

Yiks david, looks like were in the same boat this week, that Blister looks very sad. Poor little vett. I'll try calling paypal and see if they can do anything. I didnt get the insurance but insurance wouldnt cover stupid shippers any who..

Back when I was buying Micro Machines all the time, if the shipper asked too reasonable shipping charges, I always made sure they were shipping in a box, usually offering a couple extra bucks just in case.

I have had my share of lamebrain sellers:
-Misc trading cards, rubber banded together and shipped in a manila envelope
-Blisterpack shipped in manila envelope.
-many Blisterpack shipped in a bubble mailer, at least once damaging the micros in it.
-Blisterpack shoved in a box it was too small for. (bubble seperated due to bending of back)

So yeah.. I have gotten my share of negatives after leaving well deserved ones.

Well now waiting for Paypal claim, the seller thinks its not his fault and blames usps, I will prob have to ship back the car to seller and eat the shipping to get a refund, which is fine i guess, sucks that I have to pay shipping back

The seller sounds shady.
I still need to find another one of these sets so if anyone knows of one for sale let me know.

Marc,

I may be able to work out something for you without you having to send the car back. Send me your phone number again and we can discuss.

Free the GM - feel the love.

Life is too short to dwell on a bad feePay experience.

I understand if you intend to display it in the box it sucks what happened.

Ok, Heres an update...Big waste of my time, wish I would have never won this auction..

So I think I did the right thing and the seller refused to refund me, So I made a report with paypal to get a refund, I was refunded for the sale after proving my side. I had to eat $7 to ship the car back in a box (how it should have been sent in the first place, instead of an envelope)
I gave the seller negitive feedback because im pretty sure he has the same car back up for auction right now without description of damage. I dont want others getting ripped off. I dont think its a diffent car because he has what looks like the same pic and no #'s on the bottom of the cars listed.

He sent me a message right after I left feedback that read this:
Are you kidding me!!! I refunded you and did everything you asked me to do, and you leave me a negative feedback??!!!!! ABD FOR THE RECORD...THE ONE IM SELLING IS ANOTHER ONE I GOT IN KMART THE OTHER DAY!!!! You are by far the biggest idiot ebayer I have ever dealt with. This deserves a report to ebay!!!!

My reply:

Sorry that your calling me names over an honest Feedback report that I left. You sent the Cars/package in an envelope instead of a box?!? You did not take a picture of the whole package, just one showing close up of cars. Without paypals protection you would not have refunded me, I tryed to ask and do it the easy way and you refused. I'm a good buyer trying to help other buyers. If you List the # on the bottom of the cars in your auction, or take differnt pictures of the whole package, This would prove your current auction is a differnt package & also help sales. All I know is I'm an honest buyer and have no reason to lie, trust me this is wasting my time and I dont set out to make anyone angry. Sorry your unhappy, but I had a bad experience and the Honest feedback was ment to make you a better seller by correcting the way you package/ship items & list your auctions so no other buyers will unhappy like me.

Nice reply to him Marc. At least you showed some dignity in your response.
Maybe you could tell us who this guy is, so we don't bid on his things.

Ya guess I forgot to let people know who he is.
wickedridesdiecast, is the seller who ships in Envelops. I just realized another member on here had his vett damaged the same way by same seller.

Here is this guy or kids last reply to me:
Whatever. Youre just the saint of ebay and Im so glad youre here to "make me a better seller". I dont care what you say, the negative feedback thing is wrong. You got your money back and I told you I was dealing with the post master on that issue. I refunded you in a pretty timely manner and I told you from the beginning that I would refund your money. All it took was a little patience while I handled the issue with the post office. You call your feedback honest and state that im reselling the same item. As far as your angry comment goes, I am not angry with anyone...THEYRE TOYS FOR GOD SAKES. how can I get angry over a toy. You say youre trying to make me a better seller and yet you take away sales with your "lie".

Looks like he pulled the second auction, that just makes him look worse, good call on that one Marc. Pass on a link to this thread.

He darn well knows what he is selling and the value, funny when it goes wrong they are "only Toys" but when it's on Ebay it's gold. People crack me up sometimes. This guy seems like a donkey's butt.

I can relate to this to an extent. I recently was high bidder on a nascar auction awhile back and received it in a bubble wrapped envelope... Expecting the worst, i was lucky this time, for so unknown reason. I was charged $6.00 shipping (which stated first class mail) and when receiving envelope, it had $1.60 shipping charge.... I let it go since the car wasn't damamged... One thing i've came to notice thou with auctions is: If the seller states a shipping charge of less than (priority mail) usually he plans to ship as cheap as possible... While on the subject of damage packages, I once bid on and won a total of 25 cars ( from 5 auctions by same seller) He combined shipping for me on ALL 25 cars, BUT JUST THREW THEM ALL 25 IN ONE BOX with no packing material to just slide about inside the box.... OF the 25, all but about 10 were damaged on the ends from beating around in the box..... That kinda stuff is sad................. Needless to say.... he got 5 negatives because of his poor shipping and terrible attitude afterwards!!!!! Sorry to ramble, just wanted ya' to know my feelings on this!!!!! Randall

i've had many experiences with sellers shipping cars in plain jane envelopes and bubble envelopes. i think only two times out of the many had damage to the cards. one i had planned on opening anyway so i ate it and the other the seller was very kind and shipped me a second item boxed up and packed very well at no charge plus they also let me keep the original.

it puzzles me how anyone could think an envelope or bubble mailer is sufficient packing material to send any type of diecast car let alone a carded one. loose ones have arrived safely but i consider that too risky as envelopes aren't treated as fragile items and the car could get crushed at any time during handling.

i recently had a guy ship me a car in a bubble envelope via priority mail.:freak: it wouldn't have cost him another penny to throw it in a media priority box to give it more protection. the sad part is that it probably cost him more to send it overall because he had to buy the envelope as opposed to using a free priority mail box.:freak:

i think you did the right thing by leaving him negative feedback. this guy burned two people thus far and possibly more. he should have at least offered you a refund with enough money to cover the cost of a regular set so you could get a new box. IMO, he should have even covered the cost to ship the item back to him because it was his fault. unfortunately paypal does not look at it that way. i never understood why the buyer should be out even one penny to cover shipping back the item when the seller is at fault. he messed up so he should be responsible to cover ALL costs to correct the problem. unfortunately, you don't have any other choice but to eat the shipping.:(

glad it all worked out, Marc!!! My worst was a turn switch, wiper switch, window switches, rear deck motor and an alternator shippid in one box with no fill packaging. The switches were in baggies, but that was it. Nothing was damaged, but it's just aggravating.

I really tire of these sellers who charge 6,7 or 8 bucks for shipping and then put the stuff in envelopes. I hate anyone doing that. I got some Matchbox at the beginning of this year where they guy wrapped 3 together in a paper towel and then threw them in an envelop. I really lost my temper on that one!!!

Its all about the seller keeping as much of the shipping charge for themselves. I kindly gave a seller neutral feedback on bent blister pack that was shipped in a bubble envelope, and he turned around and did it again to another seller who emailed me about it. Some sellers just don't give a hoot, except to pocket extra coin for themselves.
