I am a military recruiter and looking for some item's to put into my office. I am not a model guy so I am looking for some pre-assembled models. I perfer plastic one's and I can do some simple assembly if needed. My problem is I don't know where to get these at, and which model's or scale to get. I am wanting some larger ones in size, and looking for the modern age military and aircraft. One of the recruiter's around me said that he got some from a place in Oregon named Foxtrot but he was not sure. And I can not find a store named that. Can anyone help me out. On some place's where I can buy what I need.

Thanks guys..

It sounds like you are looking for the 1/32 and 1/18 scale toymodels made by 21st Century Toys and sold in Wal Mart, Target, Toys R Us, etc. They are largely pre finished, and have some minimal snap or screw together assembly. They make an assortment of mostly World War II vintage planes, but have done some other eras, like a 1/18 F-86 Sabre and MiG-15. There was also a big F-104. Probably there are 20 World War II models to 1 jet model. You do find a lot of smaller jets, but they will be say 1/48 die casts.

You might look here... http://www.badcataviation.com/

^Agreed!

Also, there are sources for wooden desktop models such as:

They're a bit more expensive than the plastic toy models, but these are the "professional" plane models you see sitting in aerospace contractors' lobbies and offices.
Here's an f-16 for example:

Hey,

If you have a hobby lobby nearby, Ive noticed in their model section they have several different types/brands of prepainted mostly assembled plane kits. They look as if some of the types maybe diecast, but they all look like fine models. They also all appear to require minimal assembly/finishing work.

Plus, hobby lobby sometimes has 40% coupons and 30% off all models, thats the time to buy.
