View Full Version : O/T: Goin' Postal!
rattlehed 11-06-2008, 04:21 PM I made an ebay purchase Oct 17/08. The item did not show up for a week or so. I contacted the seller to ask if it had been mailed. He responded that it was mailed oct 21 and included a conf# then said he would check it out. We stayed in touch until it arrived a couple of days ago. The seller was GREAT. He even offered a refund if the item did not show which I thought was above and beyond since there WAS proof it had been mailed. When it arrived I was a bit shocked and you will see why. This item was priority mail. I always use USPS priority because I figured that the longer the item was in their posession that there was a greater likelyhood of this, take a look.

I have only had one other problem with USPS, they lost a package coming from a fellow collector in Bowie,MD(45 minute drive from my house) and they returned it to him 6mos later. UPS is not much better. I just got an order from Milezone's. The order before that was a sealed inner of GL, the box had holes in it large enough for the car/cards to fall straight out, I don't know how it got to me w/all 12 cars. The order before that had the correct address on it, it was left on my neighbor's front porch, while they were out of town, for 4 days, in the rain. Any similar experiences?

I would raise some hell with the local postmaster. That is ridiculous.

UPS did that(big brown truck).

I would raise some hell with the local UPS terminal then. That is just plain unacceptable.
BluntFronts 11-06-2008, 11:38 PM In my experience:
USPS delivery = pretty good, USPS customer service = fair.
UPS delivery = pretty bad, UPS customer service = terrible, they completely ignore requests and complaints.
terry9911 11-07-2008, 09:33 AM Had the same exact thing happen to me when a seller stuffed 2 items in this very same kind of box. It appeared to have gotten wet, (like yours), and the end was open (like yours), with part of the blister pack exposed, bent and wet. The seller tried to save a buck but the box looked like it had been under his bed for years before he used it.
eyecandy 11-07-2008, 09:28 PM The only one I have issues with is DHL...cant find my address and horrible on the phone for customer service.
DCPDGUY 11-08-2008, 01:46 PM Sorry to see that. Actually had a box from Scott Moen left out last just before Christmas last year in the rain/snow for 3 days while visiting my sister in Baltimore. If it were not for his great packaging 2 GM would have been toast.

Speaking of DHL, they're cutting jobs now.
