Greetings all,

I will be placing a full order in the next couple weeks (or as soon as the new AFX Tri-power-packs are available) - and just need to finalize a few things beforehand. I am planning on building the Tuckaway 25 layout and may even include some criss cross tracks. However, I am still unsure how to set up the inner lanes' power track so that the chords will not cross over the track while racing - nor how one can utilize a simple mechanical lap counter in such a 4 lane setup - if even possible? Also, I do not know how many silicone tires I need for the 4 AFX cars I will be racing, nor which ones - do most replace front and rear? Finally, I want to ensure that I am not forgetting anything. Can you all provide any input - this is my first go at HO :)

$150 - 1 Super International Set
$35 - 1 Tri-power Pack
$16 - 2 pairs (15") Straights
$15 - 1 Dual Power Pack Terminal Track (15")
$15 - 4-Lane Marking Tape Kit (4x108)
$10 - 8 Pairs Silicone tires (rears and/or fronts?)
$10 - 2 pairs (9") Straights
$10 - 2 Lap Counters (15")
$6 - 2 pairs (9") Criss Cross Straights
$267 Total

Thanks to ALL in advance,

I noticed a couple of things that you should consider -

1) The Tri-Power pack will power two lanes using the stock AFX terminal track and only one lane with the AFX dual power pack terminal track. You can use a combination of the stock AFX power packs that come with the race set and the Tri-Power pack to power a 4 lane track. You just won't be able to adjust the voltage on the lanes that are hooked up to the stock AFX power pack.

2) The 15" lap counter straights won't lay side by side. A solution to this is to spilt the track as done on the AFX 4-Way Split layout.

3) You only need to change the rear tires to silicone tires. Keep in mind, that with the SG+ cars, you will need to change the wheels as well.

Best regards,
Brian
