Yes it's that time again. We need to get a jump on things early, Here is just the start of some chages for the upcoming 2009 season.

Freddie’s 2009 classes:

Next year we will have a large number of cars coming to race. Those cars and drivers will have a large gap between their abilities and knowledge. In order to ensure everyone has a good time, and race with people within their ability we will follow these guidelines. Remember the race director (myself) has the option to change or move a driver at any time.

For the 2009 season Freddie’s Asphalt Oval / Freddie’s Hobbies will mandate that all participants be a valid QSAC member. All rules and guidelines will be enforced as written in the QSAC Rule book. The Race Director will have the final say in any discrepancies.

In 2009 ALL race days will start with single car qualifying. Single car qualifying times will be based on the legality of the lap that was counted. If a participant cuts the corner driving a line that would not warrant a valid driveline; that time will not be counted, even though that particular lap will. You get 5 laps total. Example: cutting across the grass in turn #3 to get a faster time. Not counted.

Weekly classes for the 2009 race season are:

1. Grand National (GN) You must single car qualify with a lap time of 6.80 or better to compete in GN.

2. Sportsman: There are three Sportsman classes for different abilities.

· Pro Sportsman: Qualifying times: 6.80 ~ 7.20. You must average 6.80 lap times or better (while racing) to advance to Grand National.

· Sportsman – Qualifying times: 7.21 ~ 7.50. You must average 7.20 lap times or better (while racing) to move up to Pro Sportsman.

· Busch Sportsman - 7.51 and above. You must average 7.50 lap times or better (while racing) to move up to Sportsman.

3. Super Truck

4. Sprints

***QSAC rules apply in all classes. ***
For QSAC rules and membership applications go to www.QSAC.ORG

Participants may sign up for any of the above class(s). (You can not compete in GN and Sportsman on the same day). If you choose to register in Grand National but can not turn a lap time of 6.80 or faster during single car qualifying you will be directed to change your car to meet the Sportsman class rules.

Once a driver is placed into a specific Sportsman class they will remain there until they have demonstrated their ability to turn consistently faster lap times advancing them to the next category. There are exceptions to this rule and the Race Director has the final say. For those who have previously raced Grand National and have shown their ability to run 6.80 lap times or below may remain in GN even if they fail to do so in single car qualifying.

You as a racer are responsible to meet all QSAC rules that pertain to the class you registered in.

Any rule infraction will result in suspension from the track. The Race Director will determine length of suspension. However, deliberate cheating will NOT be tolerated and may lead to a permanent ban.

2009 is going to be great!!

Whats it take to become QSAC member?

Simple. Goto the Q.S.A.C. web site, www.qsac.org. Download an application and mail it in to Q.S.A.C.. Thats it. Simple process. Mail early as you will be covered by insurance and will be allowed to race at sanctioned events. You will have your membership card and then there will be no questions as weather you are a member or not.

Not only everything Fred just menioned, but it is a requirement to race at our facility for the 2009 season. Come April 4, 2009 the first test and tune day, I dont want to here I just sent it in. If so you will not be testing and tuning. This is why I am making this clear 5 1/2 months in advanced :dude:

How about a N,M or P? Instead of a K! Look gas down here is $2.31 now and will be below $2.00 a gallon before next week thats's good enough reason to bring yourself on down. If not I'll have to wait to next year before our first face to face. Ah come on Scott? There is always room for one more Pro1 at the table.

Give me a call and let me know when you want to come down and I will let you know which track we are at that week.

Thanks for the invite Jeff. Maybe I can talk Bob T. into coming down with me.Thinking of running some super truck here and there next year. Might be good to be beat by the number 1 guy first. Looking forward to racing with you southern guys some next year.

MINE IS ON ITS WAY. 2 MILLION IN COVERAGE. BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED. I COULD OF CHOPPED A COUPLE LEGS LAST YR. THAT WAY IF FREDDIE DOES NOT GET THE TRACK READY WHO CARES. DRIVE RIGHT THROUGH THE BARRIER AND INTO THE CROWD. BEEN THERE DONE THAT A COUPLE TIMES.

The 80.00 Is Freddie's Cost. For The Track, Plus 40.00 For Membership To Drive A Car And 30.00 For A Mechanic. It Is Tough To Be The Owner. I Just Printed Mine And It Will Go Tuesday. 150.00 Ouch. Big Cars, Big Money. 2 Million Is Worth It.

So Freddie Do You Have To Have A Mechanics License????? I Would Think So Unless You Get A Licensed Driver To Pit For You. Then You Have To Put Up Signs Saying No One Permited With Out License. Spectators Coming Into Track Would Be A Liability. Make Up Name Tags So You Know If They Have The License.

I Need A Beer. :-) Old Milwaukee. Budweiser Is Leaving The Usa In 2012 I Am Changing Now.

It is kinda quiet on here lately. I'm still waiting on my car, it was sent out last week to get powder coated. In waiting for it to get here, I've been antsy. Bought some tools & started putting together a toolbox. Bought my radio & a battery. Still have servos, charger, & a few other things to get. Hopefully the car will be here in the next couple weeks so I can sit there and stare at it for the next few months. Man, April 4th can't get here soon enough.

I’m going to freshen up my motor, (top end), order a new one, put a parts list together, get a few new BRP hoops, mount & paint two bodies, rebuild the shocks, put it all back together, done..

Then I’m taking the cars to a (full size) car show in the spring (Maybe two) to promote QSAC / ¼ scale racing and Freddie’s track.
