I think me and my buddy Stew(attended w/me last year) scared the bajesus out of a local Target doorwarmer on the way there last year. We stopped somewhere just off the highway at 7:55am, the local saw my "T-HUNT" tags on the Durango and made every effort to beat us to the rack! It was pretty funny. I'd love to get a vanload of us together and hit that Target Sat morning, the look on dude's face would be priceless! I also pulled a 1/24 Camaro convert green machine on the trip home Sunday at 1:30pm, I'd love to have THAT luck again! I am gettin' psyched! Oh yea, put me down for 2 dinners, not 1.:thumbsup:

OK, thanks for the warning. I guess this is not an event for me then. I can't trade for anything because there's not really anything out there on the market that I want.

Why not swing down and check it out anyway? It's a blast to hang out with some of the best people in the hobby! I know that if you bring Ferrari's, i would DEF be interested in some!!

You could come empty handed! It's more about the "hanging out" for me anyway, Most of my desirable stuff I don't intend to keep gets offered for trade or hits the peddler so I can buy what I want. No time wasted. But I plan to leave with a few nice pieces and a smile on my face!:wave:

Yea, my buddy Stew promised not to work for 24 hours straight prior to Saturday morning! He could not keep his eyes open dude! We had to eat, the kitchen closed and we had to chase food before they rolled up the sidewalks around town! I'm in for the long haul this time! Gonna arrive Friday night, Sat AM before things kick off gonna git some breakfast, hit a couple stores and start tradin'! SWEET:thumbsup:

For those that have never seen a custom tampo printed onto a diecast car you may have a chance to see it up close and personal at this years CARnival!

The vendor that we chose to do our cars this year is located nearby (NJ) and said that they will most likely come to the show with a show specific model to print on site as a demonstration.

I am not sure if they will be selling those demo cars or handing them out at the show. I hope to clarify that close to event time. :thumbsup:

It has been confirmed that Color Comp will be at the CARnival and they will be doing custom pad printing on the spot. They will be doing a CARnival event related car and selling them at the show. The car and the design for that car has not yet been determined but they cancelled a DC trip to come to the CARnival so we know they will be there!

By the end of the weekend we hope to have a more detailed itinerary posted of the activities and events that will be going on at the CARnival.

We hope to see a bunch of old faces as well as some new faces!

The 2009 Banger Track Races will be sponsored by Milezone's Toys, a great place online to find many of your diecast needs!

For those that do not know what the banger races are, here is a brief description and a few pics. (and I am sure some others can provide some of their own pics as well!)

The banger track was inspired by watching a demo derby and some banger clips that have been posted online. I thought, "Wouldn't it be cool to have 4 cars race each other on the same stretch of track..". That is how the banger track was born. The rules are simple. First car to make it to the finish line wins. If none of the cars make it to the finish, the car that makes it the farthest wins.

Having seen the banger races at Autofest, they are very very fun to watch.

I agree the Bangers at Fest are a blast. You never know what will win or why....To be the last one standing in the Banger class really says something about .......... well something!
