I knew you would want them Pierre. rattlehed 01-13-2009, 10:48 PM I think me and my buddy Stew(attended w/me last year) scared the bajesus out of a local Target doorwarmer on the way there last year. We stopped somewhere just off the highway at 7:55am, the local saw my "T-HUNT" tags on the Durango and made every effort to beat us to the rack! It was pretty funny. I'd love to get a vanload of us together and hit that Target Sat morning, the look on dude's face would be priceless! I also pulled a 1/24 Camaro convert green machine on the trip home Sunday at 1:30pm, I'd love to have THAT luck again! I am gettin' psyched! Oh yea, put me down for 2 dinners, not 1. NYSWLHUNTER 01-14-2009, 01:02 AM DoooD! Im stoked! the dates fall on the week the school has spring break so IM SURE i got the days off! I saw that you posted that you were from PA. There is quite a few fellow PA collectors among the HobbyTalk community. Welcome to the board. So what part of the state are you from? The CARnival is just off the PA Turnpike in Denver, PA This will be our 2nd year. You can get info here at HobbyTalk or you can view more specific threads at http://swiftysgarage.net/forum/7952/ (I don't like flooding the main Johnny Lightning page here with threads so we formed an entire section dedicated to the CARnival along with the upcoming Autofest at the Garage.) Hope to see you there. NYSWLHUNTER 01-30-2009, 12:10 AM so about them tables..... CenterShock 01-30-2009, 12:19 AM so about them tables..... Nick put me and hutt in for some tables, i cant access swiftys site. is it byob? black sunshine 02-01-2009, 09:19 AM OK, thanks for the warning. I guess this is not an event for me then. I can't trade for anything because there's not really anything out there on the market that I want. Why not swing down and check it out anyway? It's a blast to hang out with some of the best people in the hobby! I know that if you bring Ferrari's, i would DEF be interested in some!! rattlehed 02-01-2009, 10:24 AM You could come empty handed! It's more about the "hanging out" for me anyway, Most of my desirable stuff I don't intend to keep gets offered for trade or hits the peddler so I can buy what I want. No time wasted. But I plan to leave with a few nice pieces and a smile on my face! toyparknyc 02-03-2009, 02:25 PM i hope to make the show. 41-willys 02-03-2009, 06:43 PM Had the wife and daughter talked into going :thumbsup:untill we rechecked the dates on the calender and found out we have stuff planned:cry: Maybe next year:( NYSWLHUNTER 02-03-2009, 10:22 PM I plan to leave with a few nice pieces and a smile on my face! so this means your coming out for time after the get together? ! rattlehed 02-04-2009, 12:07 AM Yea, my buddy Stew promised not to work for 24 hours straight prior to Saturday morning! The vendor that we chose to do our cars this year is located nearby (NJ) and said that they will most likely come to the show with a show specific model to print on site as a demonstration. I am not sure if they will be selling those demo cars or handing them out at the show. I hope to clarify that close to event time. CenterShock 02-27-2009, 05:30 PM It has been confirmed that Color Comp will be at the CARnival and they will be doing custom pad printing on the spot. They will be doing a CARnival event related car and selling them at the show. The car and the design for that car has not yet been determined but they cancelled a DC trip to come to the CARnival so we know they will be there! By the end of the weekend we hope to have a more detailed itinerary posted of the activities and events that will be going on at the CARnival. We hope to see a bunch of old faces as well as some new faces! toyparknyc 03-06-2009, 01:03 PM i hope to make it. are all the rooms sold out? CenterShock 03-06-2009, 01:28 PM i hope to make it. are all the rooms sold out? nope. there should be rooms available still. CenterShock 03-07-2009, 10:44 PM The 2009 Banger Track Races will be sponsored by Milezone's Toys, a great place online to find many of your diecast needs! For those that do not know what the banger races are, here is a brief description and a few pics. (and I am sure some others can provide some of their own pics as well!) The banger track was inspired by watching a demo derby and some banger clips that have been posted online. I thought, "Wouldn't it be cool to have 4 cars race each other on the same stretch of track..". That is how the banger track was born. The rules are simple. First car to make it to the finish line wins. If none of the cars make it to the finish, the car that makes it the farthest wins. Here is a pic of the track the first time it was ever assembled completely in my garage... http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b175/centershock/BangerFinal4.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b175/centershock/BangerFinal2.jpg And here is a pic of the track at last years CARnival... http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b175/centershock/CARnivalRoom3.jpg And a few more photos from Stutz... http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i34/STUTZ64/Keystone%20Diecast%20Carnival%20%20Saturday%204%20 12%202008/DSC07940.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i34/STUTZ64/Keystone%20Diecast%20Carnival%20%20Saturday%204%20 12%202008/DSC07941.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i34/STUTZ64/Keystone%20Diecast%20Carnival%20%20Saturday%204%20 12%202008/DSC07942.jpg And some actual finishes from last years races... http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j120/swiftysgarage/Events/Keystone%20CARnival/carnival9.jpg Banger track photo finishes! http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j120/swiftysgarage/Events/Keystone%20CARnival/carnival10.jpg We hope to see you at the CARnival and encourage you to enter some cars in the fist track of its kind, the Banger Track presented by the Keystone Diecast CARnival and sponsored my Milezone's Toys. ENTRY TO THE CANRIVAL IS FREE AND SO ARE THE RACES! You can visit Milezone's Toys at Milezone's Toys Home Page (http://www.milezone.net) Guntownal 03-09-2009, 10:23 PM Those banger races were a blast to watch. I'm about 80% sure my wife and I will be able to make it again. We both had alot of fun last year. NYSWLHUNTER 03-10-2009, 12:07 AM yay al! Hope for a rain free trip!
