With The New L50 Coming Out They Have Announced That They Will Be Using The New Front Ends That Are Now Being Used On There 12r5. And Since I Plan To Be Standing In Line To Be One Of The First To Buy One Of These Cars I Really Want To Know What People Think Of These Front Ends. They Do Look Like They Might Be A Little Stronger But Why Try To Fix Something That Isn't Broke, And Are All The Other Companies Going To Start Making Front End Parts For This Style Front End. Like The Nice Adjustable Cator Blocks That Probably 90% Of Us Us Today. I Will Say This I Think Its A Bad Idea But I Will Still Probably Buy Ones These Cars Just Because Associated Has A Reputation Of Making An Awsome Product.... All Feedback Would Be Great

I have looked at and i see advantages and posable disavantages in oval racing, Just don't know why associated is messing with a good thing. I'm more curious on the mounting of the read pod.

IMHO,The new front-end will work I'm sure.As for the earlier style front-end,it's been the standard for many years.I have alot of peices to keep the early style on my cars for awhile. What happens down the road when the parts get scarce? Do the mfrs. now have to hold and keep making parts for the early clip,or re-tool for the new? What about the mfrs new kits? Re-tool for this particular front-end? Will this end up being the standard or ??
I know IRS makes lower arms,CRC makes machined upper arms, etc.
I guess we'll find out soon enough.Anyone out there with any 10R5 wheel time?? Do tell about the new front-end!! ;)

It looks to me that our current upper arm mounts will bolt right up to the new front end. Would just be bolting onto the arm carriers rather than the arms themselves. I could be wrong though, since I don't have dimensions.

I am not sure about this, but I think I read on HT somewhere that the parts were not interchangable.
I wonder why they went to the flat mount servo instead of angled mount.

Have you heard of anyone making adapters to fit the new front ends to current chassis?

Saw a driver running new frontend at ROAR Paved Nats this year, he just tapped the wall and the front end fell apart. In my opinion, I don't think it will hold up to oval racing.

Guys you are looking at the on-road version. The oval version is a little different. I am sure you will be impressed when it comes out. I know we all were when we got beat by a lap this past weekend at Rosewood.

On road racers run the servo flat to get different ackerman angles.
