View Full Version : ID this Jaguar
1976Cordoba 11-02-2008, 06:10 PM Is this an Aurora Tjet Jaguar or something else? Not very familiar with these and it came in an 8-car lot of feeBay.

It is kind of green and isn't hacked or cracked . . . with a little cleaning might make a nice bod.
SplitPoster 11-02-2008, 06:23 PM As everybody else is gonna tell ya, yes it is an Aurora XKE. Turquoise, like all the rotary phones LOL. Nice body, I'd trade for it.
Bill Hall 11-02-2008, 06:28 PM Olive green or turquoise? Looking more like olive ...if it's olive OR green I'm gonna start a bidding war with Split!
SplitPoster 11-02-2008, 06:36 PM That's OK Bill, bid away (I still think it's turquoise) but let's keep it in the family LOL
NTxSlotCars 11-02-2008, 06:38 PM That's a 77 Oldsmobile that goes on a narrow Tyco 440x2 chassis. I'd like to toss my hat in the ring on that bid. Oh, the little foreign sprts car looks cool too.
Rich :thumbsup:
wheelszk 11-02-2008, 06:59 PM I'm in on the Jag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:wave:
Dyno Dom 11-02-2008, 07:43 PM I would say T-Jet XKE Jag. :)
Sea green or olive would be more valuable than turquoise. :thumbsup:
1976Cordoba 11-02-2008, 07:47 PM Here's a few more pics -- I think it is green. Not bright green, but I think olive green would be a bit darker maybe. I don't know . . . I'll leave it to the pros:

Shot this pic without flash and sharpened the pic a bit -- holding the car up to the monitor, it is darker than this even.
slotcarman12078 11-02-2008, 08:02 PM That's quite a variation in color between flash and without. It was an identical match to my turquois jag in the initial pic, but by the last one looks like slightly sun faded green. but that's just a guess..
GoodwrenchIntim 11-02-2008, 08:49 PM thats olive green
NTxSlotCars 11-02-2008, 08:53 PM It kinda looks army green. Hey, mount a 50mm on the back of that baby!

roadrner 11-03-2008, 08:02 AM Regardless of the color, the bod looks in great shape for a TJet. Clean it up and shoot some new pix. :devil:
Great find! :thumbsup::thumbsup: rr
coach61 11-03-2008, 12:15 PM Hey thats my jag , give it back! And I am not nuts Rich I graduated to insane a long time ago...
tjd241 11-04-2008, 08:52 AM No, actually it could never be Coach's.... If it was, it would have his telltale "tjet-hammer" marks all over it. :lol: nd
