View Full Version : Still More Hollywood Elitists Telling You What To Do... Carson Dyle 10-29-2008, 07:37 PM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fX40RsSLwF4 Zorro 10-29-2008, 07:50 PM I voted last Thursday, the first day of early voting in my district. I was in and out in 20 minutes. PhilipMarlowe 10-29-2008, 08:00 PM I bet they all did it for free for the collective good. Frakkin' marxist I say. http://www.rediff.com/movies/2002/jul/19har2.jpg Seashark 10-29-2008, 10:29 PM Nice. "537? There's more Baldwin brothers than that." LOL El Gato 10-29-2008, 10:51 PM Notice how they spread the message wealth. AND they got the left wing professional Hollywood artists to deliver the message instead of Joe the Plumber. Frakking elitists. SteveR 10-29-2008, 11:30 PM Yeah. Don't vote. That'll show 'em who's boss. Zombie_61 10-29-2008, 11:33 PM Sorry, I don't see how they're being elitist by simply encouraging people to vote. If they were all saying, "Get out and vote for (insert name here)," it would be an entirely different matter, but they're not. scotpens 10-29-2008, 11:43 PM Considering the number of Americans who don't even know how many senators and congressmen there are, let alone the names of their own senators and congressmen, maybe some people SHOULDN'T vote. I mean, you ask the average young person today what they know about Tammany Hall, and they'll probably say, "Isn't she a country singer?" JeffG 10-29-2008, 11:49 PM If Joe the Frickin Plumber can get up and spout off about everything from the economy to foreign relations at a rally why shouldn't they be allowed to speak? Seashark 10-30-2008, 12:47 AM Sorry, I don't see how they're being elitist by simply encouraging people to vote. If they were all saying, "Get out and vote for (insert name here)," it would be an entirely different matter, but they're not. Agreed. In fact I think Harrison Ford was a Bush supporter. If Joe the Frickin Plumber can get up and spout off about everything from the economy to foreign relations at a rally why shouldn't they be allowed to speak? Agreed, I hear Joe the frickin Plumber is also looking to get a Country album deal. Zorro 10-30-2008, 01:01 AM Joe the frickin Plumber is the Kato Kaelin of '08. Ride it while you can, Joe. F91 10-30-2008, 01:26 AM Must....resist......must...... scotpens 10-30-2008, 02:21 AM Joe the frickin Plumber is the Kato Kaelin of '08. Ride it while you can, Joe.Kato WHO?? razorwyre1 10-30-2008, 03:30 AM Considering the number of Americans who don't even know how many senators and congressmen there are, let alone the names of their own senators and congressmen, maybe some people SHOULDN'T vote. I mean, you ask the average young person today what they know about Tammany Hall, and they'll probably say, "Isn't she a country singer?" unfortunatly, if you asked most middle aged or old people the same question, youd get that same answer. alas, unlike driving, you dont need to take a basic comprehension and knowledge test before voting. (lets not open that can of worms) the tragic part is that these are the people that the american masses listen to. not the writers, the educators, the scientists..... but dunderheads and whack-jobs with pretty faces and glib tounges. (hey isnt sasha baron cohen a british citizen?) John P 10-30-2008, 07:36 AM Kato WHO?? He rode with the Black Hornet. PhilipMarlowe 10-30-2008, 08:20 AM Agreed, I hear Joe the frickin Plumber is also looking to get a Country album deal. Yep, I saw that on the news too, he also got himself a publicist. Joe's gonna be releasing his first country single next Tuesday, it's a catchy little ditty titled, "He's Black, and I'm Blue". F91 10-30-2008, 09:58 AM Nicely done! Patty Murray Maria Cantwell Norm Dicks The former Mayor of our town used to keep score for our team when I coached Little League, now she is running for State Rep for the 26th LD. maucutt 10-30-2008, 11:16 AM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQ-lQMUn0xw Chuck Norris X15-A2 10-30-2008, 11:53 AM For once the Hollywood knuckleheads have something to say worth listening to. Thats a first. And how dare that plumber-guy ask Obama a question?? What makes him think that he's got the right anyway??? X15-A2 10-30-2008, 12:04 PM They forgot to mention that here in "The Peoples Republic of California", your vote really doesn't count. The people go through the motions of voting but in the end, unelected judges who are accountable to no one make the final decision. So if you live in California, you might as well not bother. PhilipMarlowe 10-30-2008, 12:14 PM And how dare that plumber-guy ask Obama a question?? What makes him think that he's got the right anyway??? Yeah. just because he's not a plumber, doesn't pay his taxes, and the plumbing business Joe's "thinking about buying" isn't worth $250,00 doesn't mean Joe isn't some folksy genius and much smarter than the guy who pulled himself up from nothing to become our next president of our United states. Never mind that Joe made less than $40,000 last year, and would actually get more of a tax break from the guy Joe's opposing. And never mind yesterday when folksy ol' Joe said if the Barrack gets elected, it'll be the "death of Israel". (Apparently Joe's just as smart about foreign policy as he is about the economy. And I'm sure his country album will sell millions) In any other campaign, this guy would be dismissed as a total moron. However, because of the folks he aligns himself with, he only looks like half a moron in comparison. Personally, I thought the lady with the wild hair that knows Obama was an "A-rab" a lot more credible. Haven't we all learned our lesson over the last eight years about about the wisdom of "folksy genius"? PhilipMarlowe 10-30-2008, 12:30 PM And how dare that plumber-guy ask Obama a question?? What makes him think that he's got the right anyway??? Yeah right. For those that haven't seen it, watch Barrack 'refuse" to answer Joe the Plumbers question. Watch how rude and dismissive Barrack is to good ol' Joe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRPbCSSXyp0 Also please note, by the end of Barracks polite, thoughtful, smart, and comphrehensive answer, ol' Joe is nodding along in agreement. And compare what you see with your own eyes to the McCain/Palin interpretation of the meeting. maucutt 10-30-2008, 12:47 PM The campaigning for you're marxist buddy on a modeling forum are becoming very boring. Go build a model-you might feel better. iamweasel 10-30-2008, 01:12 PM Professional help makes one feel better as well. The campaigning for you're marxist buddy on a modeling forum are becoming very boring. Go build a model-you might feel better. Sounds eerily like Florida circa 2000. PhilipMarlowe 10-30-2008, 01:42 PM The campaigning for you're marxist buddy on a modeling forum are becoming very boring. Go build a model-you might feel better. Ignore the facts and go for the dismissive insult. Great strategy. How's that working out for "you're" guys? maucutt 10-30-2008, 01:48 PM Ignore the facts and go for the dismissive insult. Great strategy. How's that working out for "you're" guys? No insult, just fact. Regardless we will find out Tuesday unless Acorn's fraud throws the election to the courts to decide. God Bless America PhilipMarlowe 10-30-2008, 02:35 PM Go build a model-you might feel better. Based on your gallery, and post count, you know exactly as much about modeling as you do about facts. maucutt 10-30-2008, 03:00 PM Based on your gallery, and post count, you know exactly as much about modeling as you do about facts. Wrong again! Go to www.mikesmodels.mysite.com . John O 10-30-2008, 03:06 PM To bring this back to the youtube vid being discussed... Leave it to the greatest of Hollywood elitists to speak the truth: "I like-a porn" PhilipMarlowe 10-30-2008, 03:09 PM Based on your gallery, and post count, you know exactly as much about modeling as you do about facts. Wrong again! Go to www.mikesmodels.mysite.com . Oh, so you just choose not to contribute to the board, except for your sharp insight into politics. Or would contributing modeling stuff be too 'marxist" for you? I'm done with you. Back to the original point, when some loony talking head is kevetching about how Obama figuratively urinated all over ol' Joe the plumber, (or as I just heard from the TV, "refused to answer his question"), remember what you saw with your own eyes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRPbCSSXyp0 'Cause they're probably just as right about everything else. maucutt 10-30-2008, 03:32 PM Oh, so you just choose not to contribute to the board, except for your sharp insight into politics. Or would contributing modeling stuff be too 'marxist" for you? Listen, first I'm not at war with you. But this forum is NOT about politics. However I will not back down when I see people abuse any non political forum to push their political agenda! It's called equal time. The moderators should have put and end to this long ago. Second, I post my work on many forms, CultMan,Shado Operations to name a few, I have only been a member of Hobby Talk for less than a year, and I comment when I feel that I can contribute. If you looked at my website you observed that I have a lot of projects in the works which I will be sharing. With a family and a full time demanding job I am lucky to get in eight hours a week hobby time. Again I am not at war with you so stop being a snob and keep politics to your-self and lets just all stick to hobbies. PhilipMarlowe 10-30-2008, 03:49 PM [Listen, first I'm not at war with you. . Maybe then you shouldn't throw around words like 'marxist". 'Cause crap like that doesn't endear you to people nor make your argument more convincing. And the rest of your argument is typical self-serving right-wing BS. "I'm just out for my equal equal time". Once again, to those of us with eyes, it looks like nothing but insults, not to mention a total "You're Un-American" tone: These so called "torturers" have saved thousands of Americans and prevented numerous attacks. Obliviously you are so naive, like your Marxist God to believe that if you kiss enemy ass they wont nuke you, bomb you or gas you. Fools-you will reap what you sow next Tuesday. I was in the United States Navy under the Carter administration-I know FIRST HAND how leftist will leave us open to attack. Wonder what modeling subjects will be outlawed in the new Socialist States of America? Just so I'm clear, does everybody that disagrees with you hate America and worship a Marxist god? Or just me and Obama? And BTW, I served in the diving Navy during the Reagan, Bush and Clinton admins. And I've seen firsthand that playing fast & loose with the facts rarely works out well for anybody. gruffydd 10-30-2008, 03:58 PM That must have felt good to whip out the "cowboy cap-gun" Mike (i.e. your lovely website). This is what's very cool about this place and these hobbies. We can share our child-like love of the fantastic and the hand-fashioned, twinkle our eyes at the surreal and magical, and rub our mitts over the satsfying smoothness of our sweet creations. And I know that we would find that bond to be affectionate in spite of our sometimes bizarre political differences. And in that vein, anyone can see how clear it is that we are and have been for awhile a socialist country for the wealthy, as the trillion $ bailout again proves - capitalist pain is socialized, while profit remains private. Hand Solo 10-30-2008, 03:58 PM Do not Marxists... worship NO gods? I dunno.... maucutt 10-30-2008, 04:08 PM Just so I'm clear, does everybody that disagrees with you hate America and worship a Marxist god? Or just me and Obama?[/QUOTE] Man, you have issues, chill out. First. Obama is a Marxist. Fact-read Marx Second: Many who support him are flag burning anti Americans. Fact Third: Some of his associates are terrorist. Fact Fourth: His own preacher is anti American. Fact Fifth: Massive efforts are underway to underscore this election with fraud in his name. Fact Many people I know, and some I like are voting for Obama-and no they do not hate America they are just ignorant. You have serious issues in that you feel the need to force your agenda upon everyone. I have nothing more to say to you. I find you very disturbing. PhilipMarlowe 10-30-2008, 04:26 PM Man, you have issues, chill out. First. Obama is a Marxist. Fact-read Marx Second: Many who support him are flag burning anti Americans. You have serious issues in that you feel the need to force your agenda upon everyone. I have nothing more to say to you. I find you very disturbing. Thank you, that's the funniest (and most insane)thing I've seen posted here in quite some time. Please contribute more often! I actually thought you were serious at first, now I see your a satirist of the first order. You actually had me going for awhile, but now I can see nobody is that crazy. maucutt 10-30-2008, 04:26 PM You are right, it's a wonderful thing we all share despite our differences. There is hate on both sides-neo nazis who support McCain make me sick. McCain was not my favorite, but he is in my opinion the lesser of two evils. My last comment on politics! JeffG 10-30-2008, 04:28 PM Many people I know, and some I like are voting for Obama-and no they do not hate America they are just ignorant. You mean like the woman voting for McCain who called Obama an 'Arab'? Everybody has their own views but there's really no point in getting nasty. PhilipMarlowe 10-30-2008, 04:32 PM Second: Many who support him(Obama) are flag burning anti Americans. Fact There is hate on both sides-neo nazis who support McCain make me sick. Are they flag burning anti-Americans too? Seashark 10-30-2008, 05:14 PM Now I know why political discussions are discouraged here. We go right to each others throats. Second: Many who support him are flag burning anti Americans. Fact That kind of blanket statement is why we are where we are politically. No middle ground, No common cause. No one here wants to burn the flag anymore than you want An Evil fascist dictator to rule all. First. Obama is a Marxist. Fact-read Marx You may want to read up on Socialism, if anything; our current President fits the description better than Obama. What with his pushing the 700+ Billion dollar bail out and all. Although I must admit I don't agree with Obama's endorsement of the bail-out the man is hardly a Marxist. PhilipMarlowe, I understand your sentiments; believe me I've felt the same way over the past eight years. However, you tend to lay it on with a trowel. Maybe you should consider another forum to go off on. I do, may I suggest this one: http://www.aintitcool.com/talkback_display/38788 I know it's a movie site but you can really get into it without fear of reprisal from moderators. Which I suspect will happen here shortly. Carson Dyle 10-30-2008, 05:42 PM Seems to me this thread has run its course, and I've asked Griff to shut it down before anyone else says something they'll regret later. Serves me right for starting it in the first place. PhilipMarlowe 10-30-2008, 05:50 PM PhilipMarlowe, I understand your sentiments; believe me I've felt the same way over the past eight years. Which I suspect will happen here shortly. I don't really care what anybody post on Ain't It Cool news. What gets my blood up is people posting things here like "Obama dissed Joe the plumber" or people that support him are "anti-American and worship a marxist god". Or are ignorant. I didn't agree with X-15, but I didn't have to call him a commie. Or state he hates America because he believes different than I do. Griffworks 10-30-2008, 06:08 PM Bad Rob! No biscuit! :D Well, it was kinda funny and I appreciate some of the folks who tried to diffuse things a bit with humor. That's always kinda fun to see what you pre-verts can come up with sometimes. On the other hand..... Now, I'm not sure how it is that some folks always have to take something that's sort funny and usually mostly just kind of silly and turn it in to frakkin' political debates and diatribes, but that's stopping in this thread right now. PhilipMarlowe and maucautt - both of you go to your rooms. You both violated TOS by flaming the other and PM you turned this in to a complete and total political rant all on your own, which obviously led to the flaming between the two of you. Do us all a favor - both of you - and just stay away from each other. And do yourselves a favor and stay away from each other. I really don't like puttin' the hammer down - no matter what some folks might want to try and make out. I didn't come in here last night nor this morning, and now sorta wish I had.
