Isn't It a Shame this isn't a play set we can purchase today? Look how close they are in Size. The deadhorse in this BB Jupiter with a turn-around top by Moebius.. I may have to bash one out of a Lunar Kit. he he he.:freak: Just like the mattel Switch N Go from 1965.......

The tracks from the toy version of the chariot must be very unprecise as well, right.

...The deadhorse in this BB (the Jupiter 2)...
You mean, I actually got here before the Mod Squad? Love to see your Lunar chariot garage if, for no other reason, to see some real glasnost around here.

In reality, they took the tank version and just added the plexiglass top and missle. It looked bad, but back then, our imagination is what made the toy the coolest. The Chariot rode around on a flexible tube and when you pushed an accordian type air pump at the right time, you could make the chariot fire missles at cardboard cut out monsters. You could run the tubing in circles and interchanges. You could even drive the chariot (battery opperated) into a cardboard cave. We need a moebius motor for the new Chariot kit!

I remember accidentally pouring a little lacquer thinner on MY Styrofoam and clear plastic "Jupiter 2". Shriveled right up! All gone in 3 minutes.

My 3rd grade teacher took my Robot from the switch n Go set.

I remember chucking the rest of the parts in t he trash in 1970.
Same year I chucked a BIG Fireball XL5 that was to short.
It had a detachable Fireball Junior.

YA KNOW!!!! That SAME third grade teacher STILL HAS MY "My Favorite Martian" Space Ship That was a magic trick in a MFM magic Set. It had pretty good tricks for the time.

Does Tamiya still make the separate-sale tracked chassis kit?
