Well,we just came back from the Ohio show.Bob Beers,Danny Esposito and myself had a great time.We have been doing this for about 15 years.Time does fly.We met some friends we haven't seen in a long time.It takes about 8 hours to get there.It's not to bad a trip If they could just shorten Pennsylvania a little.Gas prices are down so that's good.Suburbans aren't known for their gas mileage.When we first pulled into the hotel parking lot as usual the first one in the lot was Norm Marcinak from Chicago.Then Mike Vitale from MEV originals appeared out of the skies from Atlanta.Bob checked in the hotel and then we went to the room.The room was to small.We couldn't bring the boxes that we had into the room,they wouldn't fit.We tend to bring alot.The hotel offered us the conference room to put our stuff.They also gave us tables ,so we set up a mini show.Then who comes by are Ron and Chris Sklenar.Chris makes great shirts and hats for the hobby.Ron makes heartburn.Chris also makes me a great apple pie.This is the first time I ever shared it with anyone.I must be crazy.Bobby Wilson who put on the Phillie show was with them.If you go to the shows you have to check out his paint jobs.GREAT.Scott Zalenski frombuffalo stopped by as did Jeff from Motor City Toyz.Man can he talk.Really we all can.Jeff and us go to eat alot.Jeff has a GPS with every Hooters in the country on it.Marty Ruiz arrived with Dave Jordan.I thought they were still fighting.That's just rumor.Yeah.Then comes the Virginia/Maryland Mafia.Elliot Mr. Maryland show"Dahlberg,Morris,Jim the crawler Brennan and Bill"the check is good "Houk.It was a good time.Went tro bed about midnight ,up at 6.Go to set up and there's Bob Slot car central Molta,Johnny ,Slot car Johnny ,Clark set up already.Start setting up and Brad Bennett the show promoter asks for some donations for door prizes.Bob Beees donates Tote bags to carry all the goodies .Bob Molta cars and key chains,Jeff Motor City Toyz cars and sets.Bob Lusch Bad L hobbies ,Johnny Clark Ron and Chris Sklenar Hats and shirts.I gave everyone under 16 a free Dash Motor Sports body.Steve Olry and Cindy the candy lady were there.Jeff Kent is doingsome nice paint jobs.Bill Elliot was there.Yes the real one.Not that Nascar racer.Bill Elliot the slot car racer.When the doors open there is instant chaos.Thousands of cars for sale and people moving everywhere.The vendors were down abit but the rest of us were more than happy to take the mortgage money.Then we just spend it.The crowd was good./I didn't get a chance to walk around till the end.Usually like to stop and talk for a few minutes with Johnny Clark and Mike Vitale.Mike make more drag cars.It always seems to go so fast.Next trip Indy.
