Is there a good traction compound for carpet racing that doesn't have the strong chemical Oder ( winter green smell I think) that works, looking for recommendations? :confused:

There are lots of them but most dont work very well unless everyone is on the same one so the track gets soaked in it. Most at our track use Jack the Gripper but some also like the TQ scentless.

Most use Jack. That is what Snowbirds uses, so most follow that.

Jack the Gripper.. Worked great used it for the first time last weekend and will never go back. Also does not leave a stain on your shirt for when you forget to wipe them off.

Will Jacks the gripper soak into the carpet and hurt the floor?

Jack the gripper is great but the applicator sucks big time. Guys at our track by Niftec, pour it out and replace it with jack the gripper. Just costs you an extra $10.

Buy Jack in the plastic bottle with the foam applicator right on top of the bottle... works great! The applicator that comes with the "can" version is crap.

If you can find "BINGO" markers at Walmart, they work great. Dump the ink out, flush with water, and fill'er up with Jack. (Gripper that is) ;)

Someone send pour the Niftech out.... Send it to me. That is my favorite compound. I even use it at places that ALLOW Paragon.

I've always had pretty good luck with Niftec. TQ was my favorite when it existed. It was better than Paragon on any track.

Pat, what TQ did you prefer? (I just got some TQ8 off ebay) I liked the orange stuff before though.
