what is the track like and what classes do they run up there,I live in Muncie,in.

Excellant track I believe it's 110' run line.I raced there last Fri. night for the first time with 13.5 4cell.Awesome time.I think they ran 4wd sedan,mini coopers,21.5 lipo,27t stock and anything with at least 2 entrys.I'm going back 11/07/08 for 13.5 Supposed to be 20+ entrys in that class alone.Lots of nice pit areas with race monitors in pits.Well run program.Place opens at 5pm qualifiers start at 8pm.2 qualfiers and then mains.Fri. night racing only.

Do they Run legends or the new 10th scale Slider Yet???

we have a few legends, no 1/10 sliders... yet. We have newer carpet, (only 1 yr old) and it's being sprayed regularly. Plenty of oval racing, and we'll fit u end where ever you'll have an even match. love to see some more new guys. big classes are 13.5 and stock, and 4wd rubber tires.

what type of cars are stock class,also how many legends have you been getting?? I know some guys down around here in muncie and thye have legends,also are you running legend rules,spec motor,1600 spec pack??

The 41 Team will be there Friday for 13.5 and Legends. The track at Van Wert is perfectly sized for the Legend class with spec tires, legal gearing, Trinity spec motor and 1600 battery.:dude:

Are you guys getting any 17.5 4 cell??? I work in Russia i might be interested in coming up after work on Fridays.

there will be atleast 3 17.5 4 cells, and about 5 stockers to be mixed in or not. all up to the racers. should have 4 or 5 13.5 4 cells too.

Well i got a 13.5 too so maybe ill try to make it up in the next couple weeks.

Some wild racing and a real good time at Van Wert R/C Raceway last night. Not sure what all happened in the 13.5 A-Main but the 41 was lucky enough to get second place! The 41 Legend was really hooked up too, taking the win and breaking the track record by a lap in the Main! A big thanks to C3 and Muddslide Motorsports for the help- lots of fun racing with you guys!

I will be coming up 127 from Celina. Hoping to run 17.5 but will bring a 13.5 to run if i have to. Thanks for any help. I'm looking forward to checking you guys out.

The track is about 110' run line.I run 13.5 4cell with 2.90-3.05 roll out.Tires Bsr's rf 70/30 gray silver lf gray lr pearl white rr white.Tm's rf c6 lf c4 lr c4 rr c4.Both work good at this track.Parogon or what ever you want.17.5 you will have to have somebody chime in for help.Very nice track and plenty of nice pit spaces.Opens at 5pm Fri.night and start racing at 8pm.2 qualifiers and then mains.Well run program.Pits have race monitors and there's even a guy from local hobby shop that comes and setsup.As for the address it is 143 main st.Vanwert,Oh.I can't remember if it is east main or west main.If your coming from Celina on 127 you will probably go east on main st.It's not hard to find.Hope this info helps and will see you Fri. night.:thumbsup:

LOL im not scared. Im jsut a little rusty. This will be my first time racing since last years BRL race in Cincy. We will see.

Great racing Friday night- the pits were packed with a ton of racers! Strong field of Legends but the 41 team put the smack down and reset the Legend track record again. The 13.5 class was a wild one too-

It seems strange that RC racing can thrive at an upstairs little track in a small town, but died in what used to be the center of all RC racing in Columbus...

hi all just looking at this thread and seen it i slacking in newer post have been gone for some time but back for now have lots of fun at vw new job allows for fri only most of the time not this fri 1-2-09 will be on road (sucks) by the way just bought entry level car will be looking for help in setup and tips form raceing but still have truck maybe my brat daughter will stop in to run a race or two hope to see more time at the track see next wk

friday night we'll go at it again. been trying a break out touring car class. Let us know what think. website is coming under construction, stay tuned...

have you guys considered trying Nastruck?

We would run anything with two entries for the nite. The 13.5 in the nastruck is a lil too hard to drive on this short oval. Tried it. But we are open for anything. There isn't many rules for the classes up here but it would still be a blast.

If the cold doesn't scare too many off, there should be a pretty good field of Legends and Touring Cars racing this Friday night.

Michigan racer here. I know right where your track is and was curious what tire compounds and roll out you use for 13.5 and 21.5. Is your 13.5 class lipo or 4 cell? Its a 4 hour drive for me so I would like to be prepared. I hope to make it down once this year. I have some buisiness to take care of down there so I am gonna be down there.

Had a good time on friday night. FINALLY got a legends win. Wes has been hard to beat here lately. Looking forward to your debut in the Mini Cooper class. Looks like all the awesome van wert hotshoes are too busy to reply, probably either dreaming about the 'birds or maybe a few are actually there. The track owner's phone number is 419-232-2112 for info. If you are running an actual 13.5 4-cell, a good rollout to start with is around 2.8-2.9, not sure what the 21.5 crowd runs. If we can make it up there on Friday, the 41 team is in for Outlaw Legends and Vintage Trans Am or Touring, maybe even 13.5 if enough show up...

Now do you guys run the 13.5 4 cells with the 21.5 lipos. Thats what we do up here and we are pretty close.
