Any how here are 2 V'dub's I did in '71-'72.I believe they are Lancer bodies on Cobramite body clips.The Beetle was originally Turqouise & repainted dark blue.The green Bus & the Beetle are lighted & the lights still work.

6' 3" here and drove a 72 Super Beetle (yellow) in the 80s for a while. It was my Dads and he got it new. A 74 Dart (yellow with Starsky n Hutch type black stripe) took its place because, it had a 360 4 barrel and was just plain fast!

Bugs were so much fun to drive in the snow....I spun mine in parking lots and then jammed on the Emergency brake...YaHooooooooooooooooooooooo

Even when you didn't want them to!!! That's what happens when you get the back brakes done and forget you need the front ones too.. 1st snow and WHOOOOOPS!!! Good thing noone was coming the other way!!!

Neal- Did you paint those Lancer bodies on the outside? I have a lancer vw van (part of an ebay purchase) and the guy did a much better job of painting than I did back then.
Once your retirement comes through, we will watch for you doing the Speed Racer thing.
