HEFFAE 10-24-2008, 04:53 PM Hey, I'm the second one here, wish my mains were the same results!
Bring your stuff tonight, good size group for tonight.
Thanks Jason for results on the BFG site.
BillCarson27 10-24-2008, 05:15 PM Hey, great idea making a Indoor thread. Thank you Uncle E for tarping the clay outside. See you guys later tonight.
Mike Champ 10-24-2008, 05:24 PM John,
Maybe you can add the BFG link to the website on the 1st post, so anybody can have all the info right when they visit the thread the first time...
I'll try to show up tonight for practice. Heffae, put me in for the pizza !!!
Thanks
LOSI_Duck 10-24-2008, 06:05 PM see ya in the morning then!
2fst2c 10-24-2008, 06:19 PM Might be a silly question, but is this all electric racing?
Tdevil 10-24-2008, 06:30 PM Yup, electric only.
Sorry
2fst2c 10-24-2008, 06:35 PM No problem. Do you run 1/18? I have a 18t.
Uncle E 10-24-2008, 06:41 PM No problem. Do you run 1/18? I have a 18t.
Friday night practice we run "races"! Best 3 laps, best lap, tag, etc.
It would be blast having an 1/18th scale class. I know quite a few guys have them. Put a feeler out and see if you can't get a class of 3 or 4?? They would be insane on the track.
2fst2c 10-24-2008, 06:45 PM Unfortunately I don't know many people that own them. Most of my race buddies are from the 1/8 buggy crowd. It would be fun though. Especially fast with the brushless and lipo! I'll check around.
REVO-Beat-U 10-24-2008, 08:13 PM I just ordered one of these for my XXX-T CR, what class is this going to put me in?

MOOSE6382 10-24-2008, 08:25 PM revo if it runs like that one anyclass you want.
REVO-Beat-U 10-24-2008, 08:37 PM I think that may bump me out of the stock class though.....I guess I can run in mod.
Leonard 10-24-2008, 09:29 PM Put it in a slash !
MX131 10-24-2008, 10:26 PM Unfortunately I don't know many people that own them. Most of my race buddies are from the 1/8 buggy crowd. It would be fun though. Especially fast with the brushless and lipo! I'll check around.

kzoolou 10-25-2008, 02:01 AM Awful lot of racers out tonight for practice on the new track. Not sure how many were out but it seemed like a race night sized crowd. That was fun.
BillCarson27 10-25-2008, 02:56 AM It sure was fun Kzoo! And the BBQ pizza was delicious. I'll definately be there again next friday. See you tomorrow.
beefgravy 10-25-2008, 03:06 AM ........

Losi,
Thanks, I'll give you a shout when I get ready to go. My 18t is modified though. Been looking at the new Slider or Slash too.
smitymike11 10-25-2008, 08:32 AM Anybody get some picks of racing on the new track? I will be there today to run it, sounds like a lot of fun.
HERSHEYSQUIRTS 10-25-2008, 08:54 AM What is the cost for Friday Night?
Uncle E 10-25-2008, 09:10 AM What is the cost for Friday Night?
$5 or 6. So you figure less then a $1 per hour
kzoolou 10-25-2008, 09:14 AM Running laps for a few hours straight decreased my lap times by about a second. I never have time to work on my landings and stuff like that on a race night.
The E/Heffae setup is big help on my Losi.
REVO-Beat-U 10-25-2008, 12:02 PM Yeah that was great night. We just left about 45 min ago. Long night of fun!!!
You guys are maniacs, 3:30am before you think about calling it quits? My wife and stepson are very sick, if I didnt have to help take care of them I was going to be there. Maybe next week. :woohoo:

S. Jerusalem 10-25-2008, 03:35 PM Who's running 2wd tomorrow?
HEFFAE 10-25-2008, 03:43 PM Who's running 2wd tomorrow?
Me & truck
Uncle E 10-25-2008, 04:44 PM John how'd you like pot holes at the corner closest to the pits?? I think I lost a truck in there, so when you find it can you set it aside for me?
Mike Champ 10-25-2008, 04:46 PM Anybody up for 4wd on Sunday?
If I can make it tomorrow, I will definitely have mine ready to rip!
Can't wait to race again!
Mike Champ 10-25-2008, 04:53 PM E, you running tomorrow?
Your Truck is fixed, ready to burn up my holeshots with that fantom 6.5 that makes that bad boy noise... lol
Oh and I think I know where your truck is... it's n the other side of the wall, in the skate park area... Somebody said big air??? LOL... Take the burm full speed at the end of the front (curved) straight away and you will understand... Last night was really a blast...:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Beef,
Do you think you need those 64 pitch pinions?
I also have a lot of tires in great shape for you including brand new set for Fred's track... I'll cut you a deal on the whole thing if you are interested. Lmk
Mike
Uncle E 10-25-2008, 06:25 PM I'll be at the track tuesday 10am to work and then weds night to race.
smitymike11 10-25-2008, 08:37 PM I found out today bowties do not work indoors. They were very loose.
Uncle E 10-25-2008, 09:31 PM I found out today bowties do not work indoors. They were very loose.
They'll work better when wet. What motor were you running with them? I ran a 5.5 and they grabbed well, but had to be driven very aggressively.
smitymike11 10-25-2008, 10:22 PM I ran my Losi 4800. The track seemed very good, I don't think it was watered at all during the off road. I did try my Orion on the oval but did'nt have the bowtie on it and it was noce and wet then. I thought the bowtie would work since they did outside. This is the same clay right? I think my Orion might be a little to much, I'll have to try it on the off road to make sure. Orion told me it is between a 5.5 and a 4.5. I didn't try the goosebumps but my Losi king pins worked, the pink ones.
HEFFAE 10-26-2008, 03:35 AM How was the turnout Saturday, seems like Sunday is the other HOT day to race besides Wednesday, hopefully we'll have another 15 for Sunday.
S. Jerusalem 10-26-2008, 07:49 AM Andy and myself will be there. 2wd mod.
smitymike11 10-26-2008, 09:00 AM Sat seemed to be a slash and 13.5 day. I thought it was a pretty good show for just starting up again on SAT.
Tdevil 10-26-2008, 09:18 AM Saturday was a good day all around. We had 17 racers out for off-road in the morning and almost 30 out for oval in the evening.
Man I love Saturdays indoors. Great people, great fun, doesn't get much better!!!
grunt66 10-26-2008, 10:03 AM New body is painted and mounted but not in time for the oval. Is tuesday still oval practis night ? if so I'll be there need to get some wheel time
Tdevil 10-26-2008, 10:24 AM Yup, Tuesday night is Oval practice. See the first post for a complete schedule and hours.
John
420 Tech R/C 10-26-2008, 01:07 PM so what's the deal for tires on 2wd buggy ??? hole shots?? or is it like factory tracks where you get 1 day out of a set of pink taper pins?
kra2y 10-26-2008, 01:47 PM hey revo what would be the price on a fantom 13.5 motor?
beefgravy 10-26-2008, 01:57 PM so what's the deal for tires on 2wd buggy ??? hole shots?? or is it like factory tracks where you get 1 day out of a set of pink taper pins?
I do pretty good with hole shots on my buggy, seams to stick great.
Speaking of which, if anybody needs a set of hole shots for there truck, I have a fairly new set mounted on yellow losi rims that work on associated or losi. I would take 10 bucks for them. Let me know.
