What kind of car stand do you use?

If you made it "HOW"

I could use your ideas.

thanks Chuck

Heck Chuck,
I went to a 5 foot table from office depot, I was losing to many parts with my stand. Yep I'm a old man!

I also use an Office Depot table, but i believe it's a 6 footer... but i also put PVC pipe at the end of each leg, about a foot long, to raise the table up... much easier on the back...

I use a keyboard stand, with indoor/outdoor carpet underneath to keep from losing parts.

Milk crate with carpet zip tied to it. It looks ghetto, but oh well.

Chuck - here is a pic of a stand that came with a used car I bought years back. I believe it is 3/4 x 3/4 tubing. The stand is very sturdy and has had many rides ontop over the years.

Thanks, Tim Mc,

What do you think if I used 3/4 inch PCV water pipe? maybe 1 inch!

I will post some pics of one I built from PVC. It is just not as sturdy as I hope for. It holds the car fine, but when running the engine, it has a rocking motion that causes the car to slide. Thanks, Tim Mc,

Here are pics of the stand I made. I used 1" S40 PVC. Less than $20 for everything I used. It is plenty sturdy enough to hold the car but just not as sturdy as metal.

I use pit tech deluxe car stand. I think it is commodious workstation for my cars and trucks (http://www.rzcars.co.uk/body_type_mgf.php?BID=Truck). I think you can use it anywhere you want! The sturdy stand disassembles easily and stores flat. It is the space saving feature for carrying in a toolbox or field bag.
