Just came back from the track.....The ownership stated that for the next few weeks they will try Friday Night racing......1st qaulifier goes out at 7:00PM.....They want to see how many more guys start to show up....( For all those...I cant race Sat night)..this is the news you have been waiting for...SO lets get together and support this fun track!

I have seen it too many times, looks like its starting to happen at rcmadness as well with more classes of the week. You start adding more classes, people get bored of it come up with another idea,rules and a class only for the owner to tell you not enough people just going to do road course were there is more kids or some crap.

I have not had a chance to check the track out, I am almost done building my car, I know a few of my guys went there to check it out and had positive things to say about it. I think this track is only 45mins from me TOO!!!! I will talk to the guys soon and try to come up and race the SK cars.

your absolutly right rick. it was a dark day when ricks closed and we were fortunate and lucky enough to have rchover open a track not too far away. so tell all the local racers you come in contact with and tell them about this place

well it will be interesting to see if this friday thing works or not, i know for me and nick it is out but if 2 cant go and ten will then that is what is needed to keep oval alive in this area

Hey there, can anyone give me an actual run down on the track? Pinion and spur size? Front end springs? T-Plate? Is it 17.5 4 cell? What's the preferred tires? Thanks, I'm gonna try to make it within a week or two and just wanted to see what I need to do...

17.5 4 cell is the pan car class. pinion/spur is tough without tire size but rollout is around 3.0. i would start with red front springs, blue side springs. t-plate either fiberglass .063 45 degree no center screw, or orc super soft spring steel. as far as tires i run tm tiers lr-g5,rr-g4,lf-grey,rf-g6. For bsr's go with pearl white lr,white rr,white lf, 70/30 grey/silver rf. if any more questions dont hesitate to ask.

ok cool... I'm gonna try to run some bsr's. What is the sk class then? I'm not too big into the pan car stuff. My tire size is 2.20 so what would be a good starting pinion and spur set up? What do they run for batteries and a motor in the sk's up there? Also where exactly is it? I'm from SE ct so I'll need an address.

oh ok cool, i may run pan but it depends on who's running sk's. I'm definetly more comfortable with the sk's. Maybe he'll chime in here pretty soon? I take it a 7 p.m. start means qualifying starts at 7? I also take it that they are 4 minute heats and how long are the mains? Also do I need to bring anything to pit with tables/chairs or is it all there? Thanks again...

tables and chairs are there a power strip can come in handy, on saturdays it has been 3 4 minute heats and a 4 minute main, i would assume the same schedule for fridays.

The track MNGMT is doing this to see if there is more of an interest on fridays...The turnout for Sat's is not cutting it...Support this nice track!

i know what you mean nick might be able to do every other week, as for me not sure we start are offseason lifting program this week, so i dont know what time i can get out of there on a friday plus i just sent my gfx back to be lipo upgraded so i am down a charger.

the friday night deal will stay if people commit to it.......Say what you want about onroad guys but they are loyal to thier tracks...Never understood why oval guys are not...no one spends more time or money on thier stuff...

Watch out for that Jayp guy! No just kidding guys. Jay ran at our track in Stafford just about all summer and let me tell ya. He handled the banked track very nicly after a couple weeks. Jay dont hesitate to ask these guys for help Rick R, Ken P just a couple of the great guys that are at this track. You'll have a great time racing with these guys. And i have to plug. Our new track is finally gonna be open this weekend. I hope the friday night thing works out for you guys better.

LOL Thanks for the good words there Mike.... I miss Turn 4 but I'm afraid until after xmas I can't play on sundays! I am pretty bummed and I'm trying to get covered so I can atleast make the SK Shootout! I am definetly bummed work took over the racing even on sundays! The car is all cleaned up and ready to roll so I'll catch ya soon! Oh and does RCHover have transponders or do I need to get one? Anyone have a rental?

Hey guys,Talked to Jermey today(owner of rc hover) He said he was only going to let oval run a few more weeks unless the car count comes up.Lets not let this place go.Its a great place to race.As long as we get more cars he will keep oval racing going.Racing starts at 7pm on Friday nights now.So how many of you are coming out to race this week?

i dont know what is more sad the fact we cant get enough racers to show or the owner is only willing to give it a month to get off the ground. well the guys that could not show on saturdays got here wish see if they show or not, i know i tried to make saturdays work, so i guess i will have to go back to driving 2 hours on a sunday to go to maximus.

the way its sounds a lot of guys are going to run sk on friday maybe the sk drivers will start to pick up and then there can be the sk class and pancars. How many pancars have been showing up.

the three weeks that we raced it was only 3 or 4. nick is gonna try and make it tomorrow night. i am hoping to but it will depend what time i can get out of football

yea im putin the car together tryin to get a motor and speed control other then that te cars just about ready i dont think im going to be able to race intill after the holidays. hopefully they wont give up hope on this track the driver count will go up and i dont think a month is enough time but we will see

i know but that is what we are up against this is a real tough time of the year to start things up, had the track opened in september i think that it at least would have had a better chance

if any guys still have brushed stock motors, they can run with the brushless guys the speeds are compareable and would help get the pan car count up. at this point i just want to see a couple of heats either pan or sk

People, don't worry about us closing down the oval portion of the track in a months time. Jeremy is thinking about the money he is putting out to have me there to run the races and if we get more then 8 or so drivers a night it will be sure to stay open. Ill be sure to keep this thing rolling for at least till February. Lets try to get some SK action going on and as Mike said brushless and brushed can run together to build the heats up.

Now lets not make anymore excuses and get the cars on the track :thumbsup::woohoo:

god I wish I had a home track to argue about... you guys have a good thing going, I would do what it takes to keep it, as fast as places have been closing this year, I would be happy to have a track near me to call home and support it. See ya tomorrow night!!!
