If the oval thing doesnt work out would you guys be interested in running the oval cars on the road coarse? Not world gt cars, but oval cars.I think it would be a fun class and better than not racing at all.

Bill Smith 07-22-2009, 01:49 PM I would be in for running Oval at that track my question is what is the roll out there and what tires do I need to run at this track GT2 07-22-2009, 07:29 PM I would be in for running Oval at that track my question is what is the roll out there and what tires do I need to run at this track I wouldnt be the guy to ask, because I was out of racing for 15 years and only raced at RC Hover a few times. So what I had was probably wrong,One of the other guys should be able to tell you that. Can you race weekly?Right now we have only about five people saying they can race.If you know anybody please let them know. Then we can go to the shop owner and tell him. Thanks bud3738 07-22-2009, 09:47 PM for brushless....around 3.30...that was in 17.5 4 cell.......with 13.5 1 cell which is the same speed would be around 3.35 I guess......tires...LF white or green RF black LR pearl or green RR White GT2 07-25-2009, 04:16 PM What happened to all the Radical Ricks guys?Maybe now with lipo batteries some more guys will race. GT2 08-09-2009, 11:13 PM ????????????????? haha made u look, lol this thread is quiet bud3738 08-10-2009, 04:25 PM did you ever go down there and talk to Jerry?....myabe we can get a once or twice a month thing going? GT2 08-10-2009, 08:48 PM did you ever go down there and talk to Jerry?....myabe we can get a once or twice a month thing going? I havent,I was thinking the same thing, but we still dont have any more people then before,so I dont know if he would do it.I think he should do twice a month oval and do it for the whole winter season no matter who shows up.This way everyone would see that it was there to stay and may draw more people as the season goes on.If he keeps saying he is only going to have oval if there is enough people no one will show!I also think that it should be Sat. night.maybe some Friday night all of us oval guys that want to race should see if we can meet with him and figure something out.I also think the oval track should be available at least one other day for practice. GT2 09-05-2009, 03:31 PM ??????? GT2 10-14-2009, 10:24 PM Hey guys, talked to jeremy yesterday,he lost the space where the carpet track was.He wants to start a car club,it would last for 3 months and he wants all the people who join the club to pay for 3 months rent on the new building(where ever that may be)up front. He said if he could get 15 people to commit to pay $100 a month that would pay for the rent.So every one would put up $300 each and he would let the club use all of the race equipment.(carpet, computer and so on)The club would decide on a race director and what days to race, and what type of racing.(oval, and or on road)There would be no practice fees and Im not sure about race fees.So if you are interested call jeremy at rchover. He is looking for a building in the mansfield foxboro area.I know $300 dollars sounds steep, but the more people that join the less money we would have to pay.We would also have a track to run on.It would just be a club run track with no hobbyshop. We could practice almost anytime and us oval guys could have oval racing again. So if you are interested try to get as many people as possible . bud3738 10-14-2009, 10:57 PM I would be in however not sure how many others would.....I know some of the guys would complain about a 25 per week racing fee.........Maybe im wrong but well see... Count me in.... GT2 10-15-2009, 08:17 PM Im not sure how many others would either. If you break it down its not bad at all.I probably wont be doing it because my house is for sale and Im moving to upstate NY.So I dont want to pay then part way through I may have to leave. But I hope it works because there needs to be a local track in this area. bud3738 10-15-2009, 09:04 PM agreed...... GT2 11-15-2009, 05:21 PM What tracks are you guys racing at? Fasthobbys1 11-16-2009, 06:10 AM We travel to Conn. Turn 4 raceway at the Stafford Motor Speedway. the last of the big high banked ovals GT2 01-14-2010, 12:37 PM Hey guys, if you are interested rc hover just put in a 1/32 scale digital 4 lane slotcar track .It is a banked oval, you can change lanes and have to make pitstops. The cars are pretty fast, and cheap to get into.I tried it out today,I was impressed. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2013, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
