Just to let everyone know there is a hobbyshop on Chesterton Indiana with a very nice Carrera 4 lane track set up.78 foot lane lengths trackmate lap counter very nice clean shop.He is set up to do birthday parties.He is looking for racers,I am an ho racer but I would also race 1/32 if there were races.

Went and ran there for hour nice track.

I went and checked it out last week, it is a very nice track. I might take the boy up one weekend and get a hour of track time for us. If we go I'll let you know when.

Ended up going there on a whim today. Actually got the wifey to go too!
We got just 30 min of track time but we all had a good time.

They have a nice selection of cars to rent, we got a good varity from strong mag ones to one that drove like my camaro in the rain.

Now I guess I have to get us some 1/32 cars since my boy wants to do this every other week.

We are probally going to do it every other monday after school if you can sneak a day out of work early.

Overall very nice track and rental price is nice and cheap..we paid like 24 bucks for 3 cars and 30 min of track time.

He is also haveing a model building day this upcomeing Sat for the kids. 8 bucks for the day and you keep the model. Nice shop any local guys please check it out.

This Friday January 23rd from 7:pm - 9-9:30:pm we will have our first race at Don's hobby Place in Chesterton IN. We have a 4 lane 78+ foot Carrera track using TrackMate timing system, Parma economy 25 ohm house controllers, and racing 1/32 scale cars. The entry fee is $10.00 with registration ending at 7:15. Because it is the first race, rules, cars, races, etc. may change to accommodate future races.
This week the age of racers will be 15 and older. Next Friday we are scheduling races for the 14 and under racer.

Hmm, you're only 70 miles (or so) from my front door step. What types of car classes are being run?

The classes will be decided when enough racers show up and we find out what most want to race.

Have you had any races?

We have had 2 very successful and fun races the past 2 Fridays. It is open class on cars and ages. We will be continue to have races every Friday at 7:PM.

They moved awile back,but are still in chesterton.I think they race on fridays.Thet were having kids only races on one friday then everyone races the next.
