KennyB 10-16-2008, 12:54 PM nice work on the flyer, edwin! should be a fun weekend.
ehartman_49348 10-16-2008, 01:11 PM I just noticed a mistake on the flyer. It should read 3 heat qualifying instead of 2. I will fix that later today.

Why only 20 minutes? I was thinking 45 minutes, just to make sure that Duda wouldn't make it to the end.... ;)
KennyB 10-16-2008, 01:23 PM at least 30 minute mains. and edwin, man, you have enough trouble getting through a five minute qualifier, i wouldn't worry about jason quite yet.

Dudda, or.....you? LOL!!! For that matter, maybe me if my troubles keep going the way they have lately!! See you then!
xraycer 10-16-2008, 07:03 PM At least I finished the A main last Sunday.....
Yah, BOTH of them!! Good job, Edwin!!
Apl Hed 10-17-2008, 08:37 AM last time i raced there we ran 20 minutes, the winner had allready been decided within 15, there really wasnt any racin going on for positions, check the results.
KennyB 10-17-2008, 11:10 AM there's something to be said for being able to last a whole 30 minutes. for a cash back race, i just don't think 20 minutes is a enough. some of the mains in the las few weeks have been pretty close too.
S. Jerusalem 10-17-2008, 11:49 AM Apple- You're my bud and all, but stop trying to swing the rules to favor you. Please.

lol, funny, my hands and feet are numb by the 15 min mark. gotta look out for us old dudes.
buglite62 10-17-2008, 01:21 PM Makes ya wonder how much intrest there is in a 45min to hour long race. Be fun to do an advertised hour main one time next year.

How does that saying go? It ain't bragging if you can back it up??

Apl wasn't the winner... Kai was....
2fst2c 10-19-2008, 09:37 AM Calling for rain a few days next week and Saturday. Hope that changes.

1hr long race, wow. Might have to make the drivers stand more like a sports bar lounge area with recliners! It would reduce driver fatigue! :) I think a 45min to 60min main would be fun if there was enough buggies. Just have to make sure to bring a full bottle of fuel.
edh223 10-19-2008, 02:02 PM A hour (or more) long race would be great. Maybe 3 drivers, one to drive, one to pit, and one to marshall. Minimum of 15 minutes driving per driver (for the hour race).
8 to 10 buggies x 3 drivers x $15 or $20 per driver entry fee. Large purse!! Payback for the top 3 teams!!
Maybe even a A and B main endurance race. 1 hour B main and a 1 1/2 hour A main. Qualifiers on Saturday and Mains on Sunday.
Sounds like a lot of fun and huge possibilities for sponsors and advertisement. But I would have to start begging now for permission for a ALL weekend, ALL day rc race.
ehartman_49348 10-19-2008, 03:41 PM Great ideas, but not for next week. It will be something that we will take in consideration for next year! There are some other event ideas that we are playing with as well.
Reminder: for those available to help out, we will be working on the track Tuesday night and Thursday night to get it in the best possible shape for the cash back race. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
edh223 10-19-2008, 04:05 PM hehehe, no, not for next week. A large large endurance cash back race or maybe not even cash back, close to the size of the east-west race from this year would be cool.
But 30 minute buggy and truggy A main would be nice for next week, and a 15 or 20 minute buggy B main would be good.

We'll throw in a 7 minute E main just for you... J/K Eddie. I agree, 30 minute A main would be good and then we'll have to decide on the length of the B main (I would say 15). C main and below will be 10 minutes.
2fst2c 10-19-2008, 09:25 PM I'm planning to be there Tuesday night to help out. Thursday is not looking good unless I can shuffle some things around and get out of another commitment. But Tuesday for sure.

Amen to that one - wow, what a blast an hour would be, or at least 45 minutes!! A lot can happen in that time, and it would certainly change it up!! That would be a blast!! (with a new motor, of course....)
Apl Hed 10-20-2008, 03:15 PM Apl wasn't the winner... Kai was....
yea, i might have if i had gotten the correct info on how long the main was, washburn told me it was 30 min, it was actually 20 minutes, i tried to squeek out 15 minutes on one battery before the swap, but dumped at the 14 minute mark, if i had known it was a 20 minute main i would have come in alot sooner instead of dumping and having the marshal hold my car and say
" IT FLAMED OUT "
oh well, hopefully that doesnt happen this weekend.
ehartman_49348 10-20-2008, 05:57 PM Note: Sunday (10/26) will be the rain date in case MX131 gets rained out on Saturday.

WOW!!! Well, I went through a pair of shoes running for your flame outs!!! hehehehe jk :p
I'd make it through a main if I could just barrow more of your stuff Edwin!!:freak:

You can borrow my stuff anytime! Did you order your servos yet?
ehartman_49348 10-23-2008, 08:52 PM Well, the track is as ready as it will be! Now we'll just have to hope that the rain will blow by....
2fst2c 10-23-2008, 09:40 PM Would be nice if there was a way to put some big tarps over it until the weekend. It's supposed to rain a lot tomorrow. Hope it doesn't undo the work that was done.
S. Jerusalem 10-24-2008, 06:41 AM WOOD TV8 says 70% light rain drizzle for Sat. Whatever that means.....God loves RC racers, right? He'll hook it up.

I sure hope so! I am not ready to start racing indoors yet..... Please, let us have at least one more race outdoors this year!
ehartman_49348 10-24-2008, 09:06 PM Final decision: No racing tomorrow. For right now the race is postponed until Sunday November 2nd. Hank will not be available Saturday November 1st, but I am going to try to find someone to announce for Saturday. Until then: Sunday 11/02/2008 it is.
MX131 10-24-2008, 11:08 PM If its ok with all the racers, I'd like to keep it on Sunday the 2nd. I'd hate to miss the last race of the season with you guys.
Hank
S. Jerusalem 10-25-2008, 09:21 AM I'm confused. Is the track still gonna be open today?
ehartman_49348 10-25-2008, 09:38 AM I'm confused. Is the track still gonna be open today?
Yes, the track will be open, but no Cash Back race today! The final date is Sunday 11/02/2008.
S. Jerusalem 10-26-2008, 09:09 AM Looks like we might have some decent weather next weekend.
