Hi Ward,
The show went well and I know you guys are anxious for the results.
They're coming up, I'm considering a couple of options for posting the info.

I may post just one pic with all the results like I did for the first portion.

I've been painting and rearranging my CustomOutlaws Shop in between rainstorms.

Results are coming up,

Very cool! Now that you mention it, I would love o see pics from the overall show as well. That would be fun to see the scale show you guys do. Is it every month, once a quarter, etc.? Show us how it's done in Texas!

(we have NO shows of any kind here...grumble, grumble....!)

Hey Stang,
Sadly I don't have pics.
I bring my camera but as we all only see each other once a month we're talking and I never think of using it.
But, I can give you some info on Diecast Shows.

We broke away from another little HotWheels group here in Houston for a multitude of reasons.
So, we went out, found a place and started our own monthly Toy Fair.
It's easy to do.
For 15 months we've had great Shows and slow shows but moneywise we still have 3 months of rent in the bank so we're still way ahead and can't complain.
However all the Texas Diecast and HotWheels clubs are having slow attendance. We're hearing the same thing from every group we know.
The gas prices, the hurricane, and the economy, not to mention there is a definite wane in Diecast Collecting, all contribute to a lack of interest, attendance and participation.
The Texas Diecast Collectibles & Toy Fair consists of the largest Vendors in Houston and surrounding areas and most of us just want to trim down what we have.

Getting a group started is a breeze.
Print you up some flyers and place them at HobbyStores, hand them out at Swap meets and Jr./Sr. High School Baseball, Football and Basketball games.
I work the door and ask everyone how they have heard about us.
That feedback is very important.
Most of all, let your Collectors and Vendors know that you appreciate them showing up.
Make sure the person at the door greeting people is a living, breathing human with personality.
I can give you some real good tips for advertising, just give me a shout.

Check your Emails all you Texas Trifecta Racers.

I'll post the October Results here tomorrow.

I'm just posting a single pic in poster form.
Most of our Racers are from HobbyTalk but I don't want to clog the board up with my races when Gunn has so many other Races going on.

Keep your eyes peeled.

Thanks Gunn,
Absolutely,
The race I run is very easy to do.
Setup, race and knock down only take about an hour.
The hardest thing is keeping track of each guy's cars when they enter more than one and real names and screen names, and Email addresses.

I'm always in for more Racing, just give me a shout.
