Here's a difficult combo of the HW Fat Fender 40 and the HW Cord.

Several obstacles had to be overcome in an attempt to get these two bodies to line up.

First the Cord is shaped like a long triangle from front to rear so the sides are not parallel but instead they are narrow at the front of the casting and wide apart at the rear.
In contrast the sides of the Fat Fender 40 are parallel.

Secondly the sides of the Cord are also curved while those of the Fat Fender 40 are straight.

The sides of the Fat Fender had to be stretched apart for them to meet up with the wider body of the Cord.

Alas, as you can see in the pics, the work is done well but the curved sides of the Cord meeting the straight sides of the Fat Fender leave a lot to be desired.

Enlarged fenders on the rear, enlarged rear windows and an added sunroof are other aspects of this Custom Limo.

This one was just one of those ideas that didn't meet my standards when finished.
Still I like it so I kept it as is.
It was the first in a series of teaching myself how to make Stretched Limo's.
You have to try to make them in order to learn how to make them.

I won't be surprised if I find more Stretched Limo's as I continue to rearrange things in the Shop.

I'd 100% agree with Lee on this. Would make an awesome puller. The stance is already there for a full blown custom puller. Thanks for the pics Pat.

Another beauty. I've aways liked that Cord casting.

I think it's a winner! How did you make the fenders?

I hope HW issues a Classic version of the Cord, with a metal chassis and larger wheels.

Thanks again Everyone,
ToyRoy,
Checkout my "Lo-Fat" post.
I made the fenders with 1/2" PVC.
I laid 1/2" wooden dowels, wrapped in a layer of SaranWrap, in the factory wheelwells and slipped rings of 1/2" PVC over them and up next to the body.
The rings were attached with SuperGlue and then built up with QuikSteel.
Then you just remove all the excess material.
Lastly you slip out the Dowels which assured that that your flared fenders were centered over the existing wheelwells.
It's a quick and simple method.

Thanks Gunn,
I may just have to send you this one and one of those dual 750 Holley intakes from the Tooned Mustang or the 40 Ford Pick-Up and let you run with it.
Let me know.
