At WM with the clearance shelf almost empty this emerged from somewhere. The clerk stated it was 75% off, so I got it for three bucks!!!!! :thumbsup: Field goal!

yea, I've seen these popping up in the claerance section... but I keep seeing stuff like original price 14 bucks, clearance price 10 bucks... uh, that ain't clearance.... clearance should mean at least 50% off...if not more :mad:


was it marked, or did thay just scan that way?

It scanned at $5 but the day before I was at the same store and bought a couple of 1/87s for 25 and 50 cents, both 75% off. So I asked the clerk if the 5 Deep Jadas were 75% off also. She hemmed and hawed and got a manager to the counter and said to him that "toys" had been clearancing stuff for 75% off the other day. So the manager, getting bored by the explanation, just said, "ring it up at three bucks." :):thumbsup:

Some WM's are just reluctant to mark down the die casts, as I was told by one worker in toys. Maybe it's toys in general. I always assumed that all WM's were on the same page, but I've seen price differences of a few dollars or more between stores. The 5 Deeps are still double digit around here.:(
