Here is a closeup of the Lesneys, some of which are very near mint.Jolly glad I dont need to buy on ebay - all the money I spent today would just pay ebay for the boxed 007 “1972 issue `Diamonds are Forever“Mustang Mach 1 which has only 3 chips and a missing box sticker
So which Lesney is vhtf???

The SPW Lomas is VHTF, great score even with the missing door!
I don't know if it's HTF, but I like the Metropolis (Superman) Police car.

Well spotted Karl:thumbsup: if you could see the silver wheels I am surprised you didnt spot the outline cross on the roof - this is the snow white first casting, a Jones code 4 seen alongside my cream coloured spw example, a Jones code 10
I can see a third distinctive colour on the 14 Lomas -all the late bpw issues are offwhite, heres a comparison pic

Good Stuff. I still need to find the Batmobile with the early hubs. Would also love the Mustang. Not many 70's Mustangs out there.

Corgi used that old 1972 tool for several big runs of tampoed 007 Mustangs c2000 -these can be picked up at UK toyfairs mint boxed for no more than £5/$8 thesedays if you happen to have a friend near London or Birmingham or Manchester close to the big ones where dealers dump excess stock. I now have a good loose genuine 1972 made 391 Mustang to ebay in december.
Corgi only did one run of 200,000 of these “ Diamonds are Forever“ cars in 1972, so while playworn cars do show up the box is much much harder to find, and when they appear at auction in this sort of condition go for $100-200 so I am very much blessed again this month getting this for under half its book value:wave:

Those early hubs Batmobiles are also common here like this for about $20 apeice, although this one is unusual in that the glazing and chromework are intact -Robin is AWOL and the stickers need replacing from a worse example in my beater box before this too finds its way to ebay....
