I posted some pics of my finished pod a few weeks back, but here it is completely done and on planet surface -- this is the resin base listed for sale on culttvman.

The pod is a straight build from kit and I did not hide any seams, but I think it came out ok. Thanks again to everyone for tips and reference photos. The robot is a die-cast solid metal figure that someone sent to me about six months ago -- I am not certain who manufactured it.

I am posting this mainly for people to see how pod looks with the base. Base was primed and painted in a light tan color (tamiya spray paint) and then I used various shades of tamiya acrylic paints (browns and tans) and brushed them over top....not too shabby for the 30 minutes or so I invested in the paint job.

I think the base adds a nice "Aurora-esque" touch to displaying the model.

My thanks again to Moebius for making such a cool kit to begin with.

Finishing up my Chariot -- I'll post pics of it when I have it done in a week or three.

I just realized that the lights on front and back need to be switched around -- I don't think I glued them, so hopefully this won't be a big issue. Don't see how I missed that one!

Very nice... It does indeed give it that look. :)

Leave the lights the way they are. They look better this way!

Too late -- I switched them out last night. :)

They actually do look better the other way, but after carefully prying them off and switching them, I don't think I have it in me to change them back again!

Funny how such small-change stuff can drive me crazy!
