Looks like Hurricane Ike is uncovering more Customs than I knew I had.

While clearing out shelves in the Custom Outlaws Shop I am finding complex Customs I created years ago when teaching myself how to make them.

It's turning out to be a Goldmine of Stretched Limousines.
Here's the first of 3 more I found today.

Here's another stretched out ShoeBox Limousine.

Another one done with cheap Enamels taken out of Painters Place aerosol cans from WalMart, way before I saw the light and discovered House Of Kolor paints.
The whole thing was shot Hunters Green and then taped so the roof could be shot Chocolate Brown.
Lastly the whole thing is clearcoated with a heavy dose of Aztec Gold Pearl-Ex Powder to blend the two colors together.
Modified hood for a meaner look.
Flared fenders made from rings of 3/32" armature wire.

Very nice! Although, I don't get the appeal of stretch limos.

Thanks Guys,
Roy, appeal never comes to mind when Customizing.
It's just like Views and Replies.
Replies are nice but Views are much more important.
You make what inspires you.
Sometimes the challenge itself is all the appeal or inspiration that is needed.

In a Stretched Limo the end result represents a multitde of aspects and techniques we use in Customizing.
Sort of a picture book of what can be accomplished when you put your mind to it.

This part, I'm not sure I understand. Seems like a contradiction of the other things you said.

In any event, I am impressed with your artistry and craftsmanship.

Thanks RS,

Thanks Roy,
I think where the misunderstanding lies is in public appeal and personal appeal.
I build my cars from subjects that appeal to me and if someone else likes them that's a bonus.

Me too. :)

What material did you use for the middle, in between the Shoe Box parts? And are those elliptical roof holes for sunroofs?

That's a good way to put it. I haven't tried a stretch before, but I'm sure I will some time. I have enjoyed looking at all of the limos you've posted. They truly are works of art.
