what's a good balancer that would be compatable to the GFX? when the GFX goes into a top off mode, the charge amps goes up and down to top off, sum balancers will or may kick off because of that like the Trakpower does. the Trakpower is really sesitive from what I understand. Now the Lipo's that im using uses banana plugs.

Well jon, its not that the amps jump up and down, its that the voltage goes above 8.4 slightly. The trakpower balancer is very sensitive to that. the Hyperion LBA10 works really well, but you would have to modify it slightly to use the pack you are using.
Lets hear some opinions from some other people.

Here's a balancer that Danny from SMC recommends to use if you have a GFX. Hope this helps you.....JM

Use the Equinox. It comes with the right adapters that plug right into the battery.

It looks like the ones that are listed max out at like 6 amps. I was charging at 8.5 amps, and most were charging at 10. That is why we got the TrakPower one.

you can charge the pack to 8.2 volts normally, then stop, hook up the equinox balancer, start charging again but @ 2amps for the rest of the charge to balance the pack, this way you dont need anything but the stock equinox adaptor

And there is a way to change the stock Equinox harness into the high amperage harness.

I like the equinox, but down fall is you have to get an adapter to charge at 6amp, and that is the max.. I currently charge at 6amp so I guess it would be ok, but like the trakpower and hyperion, there max is 10amp, just the trakpower will shut off to early on a GFX

you can change the harness without having to buy new one

I believe that this is the same one as the Equinox.
You can alter the stock leads on the Equinox so it will charge at 7 amps so you dont have to buy their alternate one.
