Hello,
I need help to identify a chassis if possible.
It is being used for a special project, but I'd like to be able to get specs on it in case I need to change or look for parts.
Thanks in advance,
Tom

Tom,

I see you made it over from the other board... There's a lot of good guys here, and a lot of good OVAL stuff.

If you are in Scottsdale, I know there is also a NEW Carpet track in the Phoenix area

Watch for posts from Raymond McCoy aka 2Groovy4U(He's usually in the WindTunnel or the HyperDrive area for Mfg Support. Plus there's HUMPTY who's also in the Phoenix area)

1st generation switchblade, there was a Switchblade 2 so be careful when looking for parts. The front ends were the same and most of the aluminum, graphite was changed from Gen 1 to Gen 2. Dave is right, Todd Putnam was working for Trinity in the early 90's when this car came out.

Thanks a lot guys. This chassis is being used for a special project. I'll post pics when it is done in a month or two. I just really needed to know so I could source out some spare parts to have on hand once it is done. I don't expect this chassis to get much abuse.

I was told by a few people to use some Associated parts, others told me it was a Links or a Links II (but didn't know who made a links). Now as for trying to use a search engine (LOL) for Links + RC Car you could only imagine what kind of return that would have caused! So again, very much appreciated guys.

swtour, thanks for redirecting me over here to this forum.

FWIW the Lynx and LynxII were made by Composite Craft.

If my foggy old memory serves me right, TRC and Composite Craft had a joint venture going for a while.

I still have a Lynx and a Lynx II SS. Those were awesome cars back in the day. If I remember right the Lynx box had TRC/Composite Craft on it and the the Lynx II was just TRC. I think the Lynx design was based off of the Composite Craft Predator but that was so long ago I can't say for sure...

lynx2 had both names on it...I just dug my car up...I gotta find the box..the car is partially assembled and dirty from sitting since 1991...but enjoy..The box showed a stock car in the background..a driver standing in front of it...Said TRC at the top..Composite Craft under it... Lynx2 ELITE...

and for Fun a Pic of my partially assembled rc10L from 1990ish when I was a NEWB... it has the composite craft LTO chassis and a CHEETAH front end...LOL

I had many of these back in the day, but I only used it on the concrete tracks, they were no match for My RC10LSS on a Carpet Track. I think they also wieghed more.

Ok I showed my age and Lack of knowledge of todays cars.
