The Iso Griffo is one of my all time fav Superfast MB cars. My brother had the same car in a Corgi Whizzwheels and it too was cool. I always thought this looked like a James Bond car.

But those were the days when James Bond only drove British cars:wave:
The Corgi Iso was well made but the medium denim blue colour was not very inspired -oddly enough this was almost the only new release Corgi that year not issued in a choice of 2 different colours.Lesney did a superb job capturing the curves of this car and also gave us a choice of 4 major shades of blue -this makes my top 6 favourite Lesneys of all time list
Here is an Italian made Iso from my collection

This car was powered by the Chevy Corvette 327 and tranny and rear end.

The last coupla years of the Iso Griffo you could get it with a 427 big block!!!

Because of Lesney I've always been intrigued by these cars...good thread!

Mick, I absolutely LOVE that one!!!! What brand? 1/43rd?
And I can't quite tell what the silver car is. Some sort of Pininfarina bodied Ferrari?

Yo Lummox
the silver wreck in the background is a Bertone bodied Ford Mustang
Here are my 1/43 Iso Griffos with an original box -only the doors open, Corgi did opening hood and detailed engine too but these italian paint jobs look nicer

And here are most of my Lesney variations visiting the Dino dealership, far from a complete lineup, and the colour was always some shade of blue although red colour trials exist in the metal and on boxes and catalog artwork - the paint shades dont show up very well under flash but the Lotus is a substitute for the late issue rw and early issue SF which came in the very same light metallic blue shade
