View Full Version : Luggage for Chariot ??

I've noticed that some of you have used custom luggage for the top rack of Chariot....this looks really cool.

I have searched the internet and a couple hobby/model shops for the proper scale luggage/crates/etc to do this myself. I managed to find some suitcases on ebay that are G scale that I think might work, but have had a hard time finding anything else aside from some gas cans from military model accessories.

Does anyone have any tips on where to find the more boxy storage crates?

I even tried looking at GI JOE accessories for the crates, but didn't find anything that really fit the bill.

It would seem like there would be SOMEBODY that offers stock military scale accessories that would include such containers.

In the end, I may just use what came with the kit, but I really like the look of the custom luggage that people have added.

Maybe the guy doing the figures would consider offering a "luggage" accessories package.

Hi There! I'm the guy doing the figures, and I added bonus parts already... luggage, replacement laser rifles, and a little insert on the floor for the steering mechanism...

Thanks.

Sorry, Lou....I do try to read through all the posts, but sometimes things evade me...or I just get lazy. I will make an effort to read more thoroughly before I post any future questions.

Wow ! Nice job ! The luggage and figures are looking great ! Not to be super critical, and I know these are a work in progress, but in browsing your album I noticed what appears to be the Bloop riding the back of a figure in a jetpack. The ears are shown as flaps like butterfly wings. IIRC didn't the Bloop have stalks with tassle-like things on the end for ears ?

Again, if my ignorance is showing please correct me in a gentle way.

P.S. I found the attached photo after my intial post which looks like where you drew your inspiration from. I'm now assuming the image in your album wasn't intended as a final rendering.

Good observation Trekkriffic... but that got discussed a long time ago and I went in and fixed it... the rendered image you see is rather old... the actual part that got built has correct ears... I think... I grabbed a bunch of images and eyeballed it.. tall and skinny compared to the giant lobes on the image you refer to.

Cheers!

Hopefully photos of actual cast parts next week... caster has been working late nights on it!

Drew -

These look amazing! The timing is interesting because a friend of mine just asked me the other day if I knew if anyone was making figures for the Chariot. When you're up and running, I'll let him know where to find them.

Excellent work!
