Looking to possibly build a new banked oval. It will be a long paperclip with banked turns. Looking for input on the build or suggestions on what or what not to do.

Fast track, with long history in the sport. Benjie Wright 09-29-2008, 09:15 PM Probably the most important thing to do is get smooth transitions into and out of the turns. Don't put excessive banking into it 12 -14 degrees should be a plenty. Get good help when you decide to do it especially if it is going to be concrete or asphalt. Sandhills raceway in vass N.C had a supernice banked carpet track, somebody else on here could probably do a lot better job explaining how they did it, but boy it was smooth all the way around. Good luck on whatever you do. Later-Benjie Wright JustaG3 09-29-2008, 09:17 PM Might want to wait on that build,,, that track might not be open much longer from what I been reading!!!!!! vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
