With just 2 races left in our '08 season, we're already working on plans for next year...

As of right now it looks like we will stay with our TEN and TWO format (Ten series races and Two NON Series races.)

In the next couple weeks we should have some exciting News to announce that will bring TWO Major Sponsors to our series for a (3) Year DEAL.

We will also be searcing for a few more smaller series sponsor deals, plus sponsors for our 3rd Annual **ALLSTAR SHOOTOUT**

...NOT To be forgotten - we have 3 points battles going on still in '08, and they are quite a battle.

The TOP 3 in the 21.5/LIPO class are separated by just 5 points.

Bryan Myers - who had led most of the season, has been watching Uncle Buck VanPatten (Last years STOCK Champion) close the gap race after race, and now he and John Miles are both tied for 2nd.

In the 17.5 class, another former champion LARRY RUBY is still hanging on to the points lead by just 2 points over Gary Hamilton. Erik Steenhoven finds himself 13 points back in the 3rd spot.

Our NASTRUCK class has Brad Muther (Last years NASTRUCK Champion) holding on to a very thin ONE point lead over John Miles. Tom Kendall is sitting pretty strong in the 3rd spot while 4th, 5th and 6th place are each separate by a single point.

Any hints on this deal?

...no not quite yet.

I'm also trying to decide on what and where we're going to race in '09

I'm up for ideas and proposals....

I'm pretty sure we'll still do at least 3 POINTS events at the VELO, maybe 4..but where else?

LINDSAY has been awesome, but HOW much carpet do we want to run..and LINDSAY is a Long way for a lot of the guys in the L.A. area.

What about the HAVEN? 'Local Parking Lot in NIPOMO?' I just don't know yet.

Hope you will be able to lock in all the Sponsors you can Joe. It's been great to have the Series all these years even though it's been tough to make all the races. I think you will have pretty good support from the L.A. racers at Lindsay- it's a great facility and racing on the rug is a blast. The Drome will always have support! I sure wish we could spend one weekend a year at Boulder. I hope Racers Haven will be in the mix as it has always been one of my favorite tracks. I hope in 2009 we might still be able to use the batteries and Motors we already have, at least in the Truck class. Hope to make alot more SWT races in 2009, and look forward to the Velo and Lindsay to close out 2008.

Steve,

I don't know yet, but I'm hoping so...

1/2 of it is done, just waiting on the other 1/2

Keith,

I don't know where the HAVEN's Paved Oval Racing is headed...it's hurting really bad w/ very little support for their club racing...

I'm hoping to keep it in the mix for a least a couple races, which would actually work out pretty well...oh, and I'd LOVE to do BOULDER again..but with me not working, I don't know if I could swing the expenses... I can picture running the old Sports Mod type cars over there w/ LIPO though...hmmm OUCH...oppps just pictured hitting the wall!

Hopefully the deal I'm working on will allow the current stuff to still be competitive and/or we may end up doing what we did in the past w/ nimh, and keep the trucks in older technology or something...time will tell (hopefull really soon.)

Ray,

You know I like going to Phoenix, same problem right at the moment as for going to Boulder though (I sure liked having a AIRLINE that flew into there cheap...)
