It is made by model master and is super on decals and paints. It is a lacquer but not a real hot lacquer as some auto. clears. It is called wet look clear. I am hook on the stuff. There are alot of others out there so all I can say is try some of the others on plastic parts like old model parts to see what you like. mahorsc 09-27-2008, 10:57 AM i have foud some KRYLON TRIPLE THICK CRYSTAL CLEAR GLAZE at wally world goes on easy does not yellow and you can handle i about 1 hr Hilltop Raceway 09-27-2008, 11:22 AM It never hurts to test first!!! Some paints just don't like each other, as you can see!!! http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc196/kwikdeals/DSC02216.jpg mahorsc 09-27-2008, 12:01 PM i have sprayed over laq, enamal and water base have had no troble as of yet i have foud some KRYLON TRIPLE THICK CRYSTAL CLEAR GLAZE at wally world goes on easy does not yellow and you can handle i about 1 hr roadrner 09-27-2008, 09:56 PM I use thet Testor's Glosscote and/or their clearcoat over paint. Once I've clearcoated bodies, I'll add decals then use Future to cover the decals and give them some protection.:thumbsup: rr brownie374 09-28-2008, 01:21 AM Can you spray the clear over the decals? resinmonger 09-28-2008, 03:07 AM Some clear coats are not decal friendly. It's always best to test on an un-needed part of the sheet. Dranoel Dragon 09-28-2008, 08:16 PM It never hurts to test first!!! It goes on with an airbrush straight up, or you can pour it in a tupperware tub, dip the body and seal the tub and use it over and over. If you really want to spray but don't have an airbrush, you can actually use a windex spray bottle and it will self-level itself. Not to mention the fact that it will give you a tough, glossy shine as good if not better than any other clearcoat on the planet. Kinda hard to beat it for ease of use and shine. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
