View Full Version : Tri-State's BRL Series Warm-up Oct 18th
John Foister 09-26-2008, 01:22 PM I am planning a Special Event Race for October. As the BRL Series Title Sponsor and the the Track hosting the Finals, this race will be a Warmup race for the upcoming BRL Series season. We will use all current BRL rules for this season. The only exception is I would like to add a true Modified class with either 4 cell/open motor or lipo/10.5 and we will also offer a spec oval class using our local club rules. Our local spec oval class rules are spec motor, spec batteries, BSR Spec tires and any oval chassis. No wing and 1 inch spoiler. I would really like to get a lot of participation for this race to get a good kick off to Tri-State's season.
If you would like to attend this race please post on the Events Thread under Tri-State's BRL Series Warm-up. I would like imput as to making this a one-day saturday race or a two day weekend race.
I would also like imput on the mod class structure from those interested.
For those of you that have never been to Tri-State I am attaching a couple track pictures.
"Frank Ulbrik" 09-26-2008, 01:53 PM Sounds like a great race John!.. i'll be there for sure!.. IMO, becouse its just the start of carpet season a one day race might be better, maybe practice friday nite incase people wanna come in early and the race sat!.. As for the open mod class, it would be cool just to leave it open motor with lipo's.. your track is a great mod track and i think people might be able to put down more HP than just a 10.5 lipo! Over power the cars, make em work and wheel em!!!! :)......... See ya next weekend!
i'll be there...lipo/something...sure 2-4 more be with me
i always liked 2 one day races, that way people could come to which ever fit there schedule better and the people that come race both days get more track time!!! just shorten the practice time on sunday and start earlier so people can get home
waderacing38@ne 09-28-2008, 09:09 AM i ll be there to run spec class with rj 1 day event is better for us.

onefastdude 10-01-2008, 09:55 AM Talked to a few racers from different states and this race is shaping up to be pretty decent with a lot of awesome competition. You don't want to miss this one.
jason crist 10-01-2008, 04:11 PM you didn't talk to me !!!!!!
i'm working on some racers from central Indiana
on coming over for the race.
what are some of the bigger classes forming up ?
i know 13.5 4cell
what else are we looking at ?
also is this a 1 day race ?
i know you said something about 2 day or 1 day
what will the times be
open
start racing
thanks
jason
bluelineracer 10-01-2008, 04:23 PM hopefully there will be enough for 13.5 4 cell. I vote for Saturday as a one day show...but that's only because I don't make the decisions in my house anyway. If you had to make it a 2 day deal...I'm sure a trip to Hooter's Saturday post-race would ease the pain.
We'll see about getting Humble and Deel south of Indy for a change as well.
