Cory-Are they going to run the reg oval(orl size) or the smaller one so they don't have to redo the off road track? If it is the larger one I would be in for a couple of Sun a month.

Cory you can count 2 of us from Delaware In.
I don't care how small the track is we need to support it. before we don't have it anymore.

Large or small I'll get there when I can. Cause all my oval racing seems to be heading to sundays this winter.

Kranzels is one of the best tracks around!!! I would love to race there on a regular basis....... I am sure they can accommodate both 1/18 and 1/10 scale.

currently they are running 1/18 oval, touring oval, and will run 1/10 oval... just like they did before.

i don't know if it's the same size as the last orl race was. it might be a little shorter but the infield is around 8' wide....which is a lot bigger than what i'm used to running on LOL.

100' or bigger, i'm in.

I talked to Dave Kranzel today about a 1/10 scale oval race on Sundays. He seemed receptive to the idea. He did tell me that he has more room because of the off road track changes.
I will call him in about a week to confirm the indoor season and post the schedule(hopefully)....
A big part of a successful season is good attendance. Kranzels has hosted 1/10 scale before and the turn out was light. This is one of the better tracks in the area and it would be nice if we could have a good showing of racers!

Any possibility of saturdays for oval ??? It seems that there are to many tracks running sundays. I can think of 4 counting Kranzels. That could spread the racer count a bit thin.

no chance... they run stadium racing on saturdays and i hear they get a pretty good turnout. they also have their schedule set-up so that they don't have to change the track back and forth with practice days. sunday-wednesday it's set-up for oval and thursday-saturday it's set-up for stadium.

they have a schedule on their website.... http://www.kranzelsrc.net/store/

RCO has been closed for a loooooooong time now. The last time I was by there there was a farm tractor where the shop was and LOT'S of boxes in the track area.

Most of us don't have 21.5 motors yet, so we may run 17.5, but I expect that eventually we will move to 21.5.

Most tracks are limiting the batteries to 3200. We have been running any ROAR leagal 3200 to 3600 for now.

I talked to Dave Kranzel this afternoon. He would not commit on the track size. He did say it would be about the same length as last year however the turns would be wider. He won't be setting the track up until Sunday morning. I believe he told me that this Sunday would be more of a test and tune and the racing schedule would start next week. He also mentioned about the new traction compound rule which is hand cleaner only. I think we should all pick a Sunday, as a group, and make the trip. Who knows, we may have some fun on the shorter track. I know a couple of you may have a problem with the "hand cleaner" rule but I personally think its a good idea. I have used it before and it works just fine.It costs about $1 a container and is very safe to use....
What are your thoughts?????
