it is an echo 409t blower.

new bosch plug
has spark (i have an inline spark tester)
has gas
carb cleaned

i know that gas goes into the combustion chamber because with the plug out and gas mist blows out when i pull the rope.

BUT no combustion! i removed the air filter and tried again with no joy.

I even put some raw gas into the chamber, still no joy. no sputter at all. i tried so long and hard pulling the rope that the gas actually dripped out of the exhaust.

I'm about to call uncle on this one.

check your compression, and also take the plug out, and check the cylinder for scratches.

also, this should be in the 2-stroke forums FYI
