Does anybody have any information on why more green machines are showing up again without numbers on the bottom?

I realize that these are from two different series.

Here are the E-pay links:

I know for sure on the 68 Vette that the # of the car is under the hood. Not sure on the Stang though.

The numbers are under the hoods on some of the TRU BB Corvettes and MCG7 Mustangs, maybe others, These cars do not have the large white rectangle with no number, they just don't have a serial# on the bottom.;)

So this means that you have to open them to see what # you have. Great marketing by GL. congrats

Here is the story, at least with the Mustangs. According to the powers that be at GL, product requirements by retailers involved a coding system printed on the bottoms in case of product recall and such. This came late in production and there was no room on this particular model (and perhaps others) for the serial number. Their stated intention is to continue with visible numbers whenever possible.

Another good reason to join UTH. Admin posted this info over a month ago :).
