View Full Version : New season @ KC Hobbies & Raceway in ST. Ignace Michigan
Promatchracer 09-23-2008, 11:59 AM Just wanted to get a thread going and let everyone know we are back to racing soon.
Race dates are as follows
Oct 18th First race of year
Nov 8th
Nov 22nd 3rd Annual Braggin Rights Race
Dec 13th
Also the 2nd Annual Spring Fling will May 2nd at the Little Bear East Arena in Saint Ignace Mi
This race will held inside the Ice Arena floor area Of course the ice will be gone
Race carpet will be laid down on the ultra smooth floor
There is plenty of light and Loads of Power
Normal race dates will have the following classes offered
Legends Class Legend rules apply
Stock Truck Stock motor or Brushless 17.5 6cell or 2cell Lipo with 6000mah or less runtime Must be hard case pack
Stock Mini includes any vehicle that's 14th scale or smaller & stock motor
Mod Mini includes any vehicle that is 14th scale or smaller with mod motor
Emaxx Stock motors only 6cell or 2cell Lipo with 6000mah or less runtime Must be hard case pack
Traxxas Slash This is a BOX STOCK CLASS ONLY THING THAT CAN CHANGE IS THE RECEIVER any thing else MUST BE PREAPPROVED 6cell or 2cell Lipo with 6000mah or less runtime Must be hard case pack
Stampedes stock motor or traxxas motor 6cell or 2cell Lipo with 6000mah or less runtime Must be hard case pack
ALL Other classes will be ran if we have 3 or more
Entry fee is $10 first class $5 for each additional class
Rentals are $20 and includes the race fee
Also 1/2 off for first timers to the track
Tables and chairs provided Please bring ext cord and power strip

Promatchracer 09-29-2008, 04:39 PM We will have new scoring software and will be using a different computer alos so the problems from the Spring Fling race should be resolved

Especially with gas going down everyday
We are down to 2.59 here has dropped .40 in the last 5 days

What truck classes are people running 13.5, 17.5, mod? Butch, Wilkie, Jeremy, Taz, Doug?

I will talk with the Quality Inn and see what they can do for me
As for truck Classes Stock/17.5 will be the same class
Lipos rules 2c hard case are chassis protected Same as MP I believe I will be allowing up to 6000mah packs which I think most places are doing 5000mah
Pan car Rules I am going with MP and BC rules so no one will be different
I have a newer version of AutoScore and will also be testing out 2 computers
I am getting one from Rowley Interprises and will have my personal laptop running too
Track size will be 74X36 with a pipe down the middle and carpet in the middle too Last time it took me about 2 hours to clean up the traction compound Learned my lesson on that one
I want to run a TC class like MP with the vintage bodies I am looking for 2 bodies that will fit Losi's JRXS's

Also if you guys are running late models anybody got some old TC bodies laying around like the Vintage Trans AM type
I will have to wait on Hotel room rate I just called the Quality Inn as I type this and the manager and owner aren't around till Tues The lady said that she could do $62 for a DBL bed room buit I am sure I can get better than that
Also I can't remember where Sparky Stayed for the Spring Fling race But I think it was the Driftwood and They have good food and should have good rates SO Sparky call me so I can get some more in fo from you

The Quality Inn That is the one by Big Boy is going to do us a racer special and it will be $55 night Just ask for the KC Hobbies rate I had them block 10 rooms
Also I need to know what classes you guys are running and 4 or 5 mins
It is only 2 weeks away and I would really like ot get a roll call going for it so Please post up under the KC hobbies thread

The info on the track size is 36X73 I think I forget the length but I know it is around that long
Also the center pieces are exactly 13' in from the outside pipe and 18" from the outside of the center carpet on both sides I have tape on the carpet from guide lines and I will also be make the end pieces permant by gluing them together
Please remeber to bring power strips and pit lighting
We will aslo do a 50/50 raffle and have drinks and snack on site If you would like you can send me sign up info

I will enter in the info into the computer before hand But I still want one filled out at the track like a normal sign up
Also what pan car classes are gong to be run
From the looks of MP I wont even have a pan car to run at my own race So looks like just stock truck and Slash for me
