View Full Version : What is your Holy Grail ?
43rdMuscle 09-23-2008, 08:11 AM All are 1/43 scale (about 6" long). Who knows, maybe a fellow HT member would be willing to part
with his/hers if they have one.

Andrew73 09-23-2008, 11:45 AM Hard to determin. There are so many that I'd love to add to my collection. It's more like I have a holy grail for each diecast manuafacturer. But if I had to pick an overall one it would be a Buby Mustang II in any color.
terry9911 09-23-2008, 06:38 PM Nice dragsters! My collection (of redlines) sort of revolve around my Sugar Caddy collection. Only the pink one could beat this my orange one.

In my Matchbox collection The Hulk chooses his favorite ride.

JasonZ 09-23-2008, 07:39 PM 1995(6?) Lambo Hunt in mint conditon and 2006 Corvette TH
jedimario 09-23-2008, 07:52 PM Probably a Tomica Prelude or any die-cast EP3 Civic SI (I'm not aware of any that exist).
harristotle 09-23-2008, 07:52 PM The Shelby Cobra with the race decals. Definately not the rarest car ever, and I've got it in the packaged set, but I've been watching the bay for a while for a loose one. They usually go for more than I am willing to spend. Maybe one of these days when I find the boxed set for a good price I'll get another one and open it...

roadwarrior 09-23-2008, 08:01 PM I was RAOKed mine this week by Bobby (rwwcarguy):thumbsup:the last BWF I needed:woohoo:http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z49/bigjbigj/06FestMustangBWF.jpg
I guess I'll have to think of a new one:rolleyes:
ECchopper 09-23-2008, 08:35 PM Whoa!! That is one helluva RAOK!!
My Holy Grail is the R-Rated version of the West Coast Choppers '54 Chevy. (144 made)
It sits in a protective little showcase on top of my keyboard. It's the one car I'd save if the house was on fire.
Oh, and it was also RAOK'ed to me.
dragonhead00 09-23-2008, 08:39 PM Mine are any HW Customized VW Drag Truck and Drag Bus. I got a 2006 Classics Drag Truck recently.
rattlehed 09-23-2008, 08:52 PM One of the finest looking 1/64 ever, IMO.

Diecast Camaro Collector 09-23-2008, 09:54 PM here's mine
STUTZ 09-24-2008, 12:25 PM My Holy Grail is the green version of the Shelby G.T.500 Mustang pictured below (with certificate of authenticity). I've been looking for one for almost 20 years. I saw one on eBay about 2 years ago, but it sold for over $1300.00.

Thanks that makes a lot more sense lol!
roadwarrior 09-25-2008, 07:26 PM Not a Greenlight,Ray has been looking for it for 20yrs:wave:
FLOYDFROG 09-26-2008, 07:11 PM I would have to say that my holy grail cars would be most of the older Lesneys/Matchbox that I had in the late 60's/early 70's as a kid. Wish I still had them:)
PWSchuh 09-27-2008, 09:04 AM I don't have a holy grail any more. I got mine (a Corgi set) a long time ago and now I just collect what I like.
TJinSA 09-27-2008, 08:37 PM A couple, not sure they're holy grails, but high on my list is a Tiger Wheels Shelby in white, and one of the original Topper Mustangs. Have cursed myself endlessly for being too cheap when I knew the prices were reasonable.
