Hi,... yes I did a search on this board and it's kinda whu I'm posting this....

thought it might help those who might run into one, thinking..."is that a mirror?"

Stopped at one of those consignment places with antique today, and spotted a VERY shiney Johnny Lightning Topper Custom Jag in gold...so I'm thinking, "is that a mirror?"

well I was able to pick it up and look at it and noticed no shiney paint inside the wheel wells...was pretty sure that's a sign of a regular..

Wheels were in excellent to mint condition, and they wanted 18 bucks for it... it's still there, but just didn't feel the need to get it...

here's a link to the post I was reading about mirrors...sometimes nice to bring up old posts... the finish looked exactly like the Custom El Camino pictured maybe 3/4 down the page... label a NEAR mirror

So where was this place?;)

it's The Town Peddler... in Livonia (on Plymouth Rd., accross from the Ford test track, between Newburgh and Wayne)

They have at least 2 booths in the antique sections that always have diecast, but usually 99% of it is just older, like 1 or 2 year old, pegwarmer Hot Wheels that they are trying to get like $2.99 a piece for... once in a while I find a little treasure there

Never been in there. I hit the antique place next to Marios on Plymouth west of Merriman and the one on 7 Mile in Northville but nevber have found anything in decent shape or with the right price.

Yeah, when I used to work on the road all day as a field service tech, I would stop in those too sometimes...same, never anything decent..

It's just once in a really great while, that something will pop up... there used to be one of those consignment stores INSIDE the mall at Middlebelt and 7 mile...that's where I found that Topper Wild Winner in package for $2.00
