years ago, around the middle of my collecting days, i spent a lot of time making my own diecast cars. i bought a lot of model kits to steal the decals from, and also used a lot of slixx decals. diecast show were the best place for me to find cheap action/rcca cars to strip and redo.
so anyway, here's some of the Earnhardt cars i've made. as i take pics of my other customs, i'll keep updating this thread. enjoy. :)

nice cars. i did the same thing back about 14yrs ago but i used revell. they were cheap i could pick them up at wal mart for about $4 each then strip them down to what ever i could get decals for. it was fun :)

there used to be a website called traksmak, and they'd made race damaged replicas after the cars were wrecked and brought back out on the track. i thought they were really cool, so i made some of my own using their pics.
the AOL harvick car was from "the winston" in 2001. his regular car was from martinsville of the same year.

and here's a couple gordon cars. the one is from the coke 600 in 2002. the other one i never got around to finishing, but it's from darligton 2003.
