First - THANK YOU TO ALL THE RACERS who Traveled great distances to make it to LINDSAY today

Second - THANK YOU To the STAFF of the McDermont Field House Center in LINDSAY

We were faced with a delima today when the SWTour guys arrived at the AWESOME Lindsay facility.

The management had scheduled a CONCERT event, and due to this incredible events center still being under construction in many areas...we lost our PREMIER area where we race...and we were moved to a "Still under Construction" area of the building...on the 3rd FLOOR...with NO Elevator... (Can YOU imagine carrying ALL your R/C Stuff up 3 FLIGHTS of STAIRS?)

Early attitudes today were NOT good - including MINE - this looked like it was going to be a major CLUSTER... But I have to give the OVERTIME Working Staff (Freddie, Cori. and the rest)credit for PULLING it off for us.

It looked like the carpet was going to be bumpy and crappy - but it laid down nicely with a little work....we had so much room. We could have put another 250 racers in this building w/o being crowded.

This event filled day turned out GREAT for many...and the racing for MOST was awesome.

Third - A Huge THANK YOU to Raymond & Scott from Phoenix for making the LONG (8 hour) trip...and a bigger thanks to Raymond for REBUILDING my HD Pro3 for my son.

Raymond stripped this car of EVERYTHING I had screwed up on it - and did an awesome job having it ready for todays race.

MURDOCK/Windtunnel (HDX Body) I believe
Windtunnel Tires
All the HD Pro3 parts (Lots of NEW Red Stuff...and it looked PURDY!)

On the racing side - Ray got beat up pretty bad, and didn't end up too good in either the 17/5 or 21.5 Lipo class...I believe there were some handling issues in qualifying - but in the mains his car looked like it was a PINBALL

CONGRATS to the "HobbyTalk TQ" Winners.

21.5/LIPO - Bryan Blaser
17.5/LIPO - Gary Hamilton
NASTRUCK - Keith Brown

Long and Short - what looked like was going to be an UGLY Complaint filled day - turned into an almost PERFECT day of Carpet Racing - all on the THIRD FLOOR of what is going to be ONE Incredible Facility ... when it's done. (It's already incredible - and it's only about 40% complete.)

btw - the 3rd floor room we were in is going to be an INDOOR Soccer Arena!

...one more THANK YOU - Thanks to ANDREW ACOSTA

Andrew, a former CALIF. driver who now resides in BRL Country came out from KANSAS to run with us today. Andrew is NEW to LIPO and is gearing up for the 21.5 LIPO class in the BRL... When he had asked me about batteries - I thought it was silly for him to buy a ORION when he'll be running Sonny's races w/ the SMC, but I had to have him switch to a borrowed ORION and disallow his 1st run (with the SMC pack) Andrew was able to still get a TOP 7 qualifying run in and start the "A" Main (Out of 26 entries in the 21.5/LIPO class)

Scot Petitclerc running his 21.5/BRL Stryker Set Up was also running the SMC getting his NEW Cars set up towards the '08/09 BRL rules. Scots times had to be disallowed as to not put a "NOT LEGAL for the SWT" car ahead of the guys racing for points...BUT I can tell you - the SPOILER ONLY/BACK END IN BRL car - running against WINGED SWTour Cars put up a GOOD Fight...(Scot had qualified 6th before having his times disallowed.) But I think he learned a LOT OF Setup info that will prove helpful to the Stryker Drivers running the BRL this winter.
