I have been running a Novak GTB ever since I went brushless with no problems at all. In the spring I put a lipo shut off on my speedo and began to run Lipo. The system has ran flawlessly all summer till this weekend.

For some reason my car is shuting down. It is not over heating. I am only running a 13.5 motor. All the wires seem to be fine. The car will run then just stop. Sometimes when the car is turned on it will not run from the beginning and the green light on the GTB is flashing with the soild red.

My next step is to reset the speedo and then read the trouble shooting section of my directions. I am one of those guys that keep directions in a glass case labeled "Break in the case of emergency." lol...

I thought I would a post on here in the mean time to see if anyone else has experienced this type of problem.

Does your GTB have LiPo Cutoff?

If this doesn't help, I have found Novak's tech support to be very responsive.

I wouldnt run the cutoff. Just check voltages for a while till you find out how long you can run on a certain motor (ie - 13.5, 17.5, etc). Then you will know, and you can stop and charge. I have tried to use the cutoff on my speedo and two times it went well under 6 volts, so i dont trust it anymore.

I run two XBRs and the built in lipo cutoffs on them work fine. On my HV 6.5 with HV ESC in Hyper 7 1/8th scale, I have Novak external cutoff and it also works. Have you checked to see if the solder connections are not cracked? This can cause an intermittent problem like you describe. I also agree Novak Techs are very helpful.
