Hey a chance to race where my 1/1 scale heros ran or still run..............darned right it's worth the trip. I just have to figure out the travel, lodging, race and other funding.

TB driving your car onto the track and pitting in the nascar garage is awesome! the track is awesome and the weather is usualy very nice....double check the weather if your driving down or send one of us fl boys an email the week before...

If not an email I will check weather.com or accuweather.com. I cross check between the 2 even for raing within an hr of the house up here. Accuweather seems to be more on the money.

I have made the trip from Richmond, Va twice and had a great time. Besides the rc racing there is a huge car show at the track also, time to drive on the beach and still have time for dinner and watching Speed Vison at night. The weather has been great the last two years. Look forward to returnning in 09... A real layed back event that is just fun!!!!

Just for the planning part of the race trip/expence "account". What classes will be running ?? I have everything needed for 13.5 or 17.5 4 cell. But will need time to get the lipo stuff together. You know charger batteries and any other motors needed.

17.5/lipo
21.5/lipo
12th scale 4 c ell 13.5


trucks i'm sure just not the battery or motor
13.5 4 cell is dying in florida
10.5 4 cell is also slowing down
some sort of novice class for sure

and some nitro classes will be offered .09 and .12? i'm not a nitro guru

Looks like I'll have to refigure the budget for the trip I have a virgin 17.5 ( so virgin it's N.I.P) but will need the lipo battery and charger. That and maybe a ESC unless my GTB 4 cell can do lipo with no trouble :confused:

i know i'll have an extra lipo to borrow..before you go off the deep end wait it out for a lil while.

The lipo batt is the easy part ...........as long as the sponcor gets the lipos he wants to sell. The hard part is the charger, I have no idea what one to get :confused: I'm thinking the checkpoint 1030 or maybe getting my GFX the lipo upgrade

66.00 to have the gfx upgraded to lipo and a 2 week turn around time..well worth it!

What are the rules on the lipos ??? As in MaH and other ratings ?

I think the FL bunch has adopted the ROAR Lipo rules

3200 in 21.5 any roar legal 3200 lipo cough smc cough

17.5 lipo is any roar leagl 5000 pack and under cough smc cough
