hey guys,
Lake Lanier is opening with their first race on October 4, 2008. This is a high-banked concrete oval that is tons of fun to race on. Scott and I raced on it last year, and had a great time, but the inside barriers were a bad problem. John Norman told me that they ground the inside barriers down to about 1/2" high, so they should not pose the problem the did before. I am scheduled to work that weekend, so I am not sure I can make it, but we need to support John and Lake Lanier and give it a chance to work. Lake lanier is the track to replace the SugarBowl in Georgia, and would be a great track to host races. Its wide and fast, and fairly smooth, with a grassy infield. Lets pass the word around to nitro and electric racers to support Lake Lanier. John has worked hard to pull this together and we need a track in Georgia again. Entry fee is $20, and personal transponders are mandatory. If I can possible make it, I will be there.......Support Lake Lanier Speedway!!!
