Anyone have any experience with these? I have been kinda looking around for awhile now for a 4th controller. I have 1 real nice one and then 2 60 ohm parma cheapies. This one here seems to be pretty danged nice as well but I'm looking to see if anyone knows anything about this or has any experience with it.
Cheers,

Marty B brought two of these to Talbot Hills for our Aug 30 IROC.
They are very nicely made. We had the higher ohm versions, 180-225? and 120-160. MartyB will hopefully confirm those ranges.
Some guys collect every variation of Tjets. Marty and I collect controllers. Every once in a while we buy or sell a controller.
Now I have 2 DRs (my race controller and a backup), a Difalco , a Trek Lawler Fray controller, a Scott Dunlap controller (SoCal Fray guy), a GoGo Fray controller, a NJ Hobby variable resistance controller, and several parmas of various flavors.
Marty has 2 DRs, a Medanic controller, a GoGo Fray controller, a Dunlap controller, and a few others I havent found yet (he hides them well).
So between us we have gotten familiar with many different controllers.
The BRPs have a nice feel, are well built, and reasoanbly priced. I felt the power bands were too high (we wanted to try those power bands), and were really best for Fray cars and JLTO. Not so useful for magnet cars.
I think the lower range controllers (90-120 or so) would be a good controller for pancake cars, and maybe older inline cars, like the original Super G, the pre 440 tycos, pre M LL, etc.
Xence, I think the lower band BRP would compare well to the clear controller you have, which is a Dunlap controller.

I have 2 regular flavor fused BRP 90's for my home layout. I run tjets and the odd occasional AFX-ish type cars. The BRP's are much better than Parma Econo's and better still than Parma Econo's w/ transplanted 120ohm resistors (which were themselves decent controllers). The BRP's are just very smooth for me. nd

Yeah, a BIG shout out to Jerry Schmoyer from BRP for sending us a couple of test controllers to put through its paces. The controllers had an excellent feel to them and I think the 80-120 ohm controller would be the perfect one for those who do not yet have something to run their T-jets, they are really that nice.

I have a 110 Nitro resistor that works great in stock T-jets. (Installed it in a Parma controller) from BRP. Like going from carb. to fuel injection.

ok now here's something as well. I spoke with jerry at length the other day about the controller thing. NICE guy. Very knowledgable. I'm going to be hooking up with him in the very near future for this. In the meantime I won a 45ohm parma off ebay for like $20. I was looking for another high end controller but considering I'm just going to be using these for whatever kid happens to come over at the time..... no use in having someone ruin a high end controller when I could hand them a cheapie and not have to worry about having something happen to it. if something gets wrecked in that dept.... oh well.
