here's my pod almost finished.
I used the, wait..(double checks the sponsor) "Bently of pod circuits" from Space Circuits along with my own additional lighting.
I ran into a snag when packing all of the wiring into the cabin. and the cabin into the shell. I had carefully made sure that there was room for everything, but the cabin shifted a tiny fraction of an inch "forward" in the time between the application of the glue and the setting of said glue.
the domino effect resulted in a gap between the body and the front plate that while not all that horrible, was a little too gappy for my tastes. what I decided to do was to cut strips of really thin sheet styrene to create a trim detail. See pics below.
There is still a bit of touch-up painting to do and decals then a dull coat to knock down the shinyness of the silver.
I borrowed the robot from the chariot kit for these pics until Drew comes out with his figures.
I have to figure out the best way to prresent the video..I could post it on you tube or make a zip file and post it here. I'll ponder on that for a bit
I purposely overdid the sharpening on the first photo to show you the trim detail. its really not that ugly in real life
